Parades lacked precision

This month, I have attended three local parades that have been enjoyable, fairly lively and full of the Christmas spirit.

There were a couple things I noticed, as did several members of our family. When the groups marched, they were not in sync. Many of the ROTC members had shoulders slumped and it appeared disorganized.

The other thing was the grinding and gyrating dance routines by school majorettes. The dance routines were not in good taste, even though the majorettes were obviously enjoying their routines. Otherwise, the anticipated parades were very nice.

I still look forward to next year’s parades, although I hope the dance routines will have changed and the marchers will really march together. A big “thank you” to all who made the parades possible.
