Double standard continues

I enjoyed watching on television this year’s Clemson-South Carolina football game, and found it extra interesting because there were no illegal hits. Then comes the Associated Press, where they advocate that.

On Nov. 25, we read, “Detroit’s best chance to beat the (Green Bay) Packers was to knock (Green Bay quarterback Aaron) Rodgers out of the game, just as it did last year in a victory that started a nine-game winning streak.”

Then we read, “The Lions gave that tactic a shot, hitting him even if he had already gotten rid of the ball. Kyle Vanden Bosch was flagged for one of those late hits and could have drawn another penalty for trying to rough up the star quarterback even more on the same drive.”

Along with the story was an AP photo of quarterback and former University of Georgia star Matthew Stafford being tackled by a Green Bay linebacker. That’s promoting the breakdown of our society.

But if the conservative Tea Party even gathers to protest President Obama’s socialistic spending, Democrat/socialist AP comes to his rescue by condemning the Tea Party, calling them, on Oct. 28, 2010, “a dangerous fringe movement that has taken over the Republican Party” and a “hot-blooded anti-establishment” group. But I thought being “anti-establishment” and breaking the rules was what AP advocated, as they did with the liberal Occupy Wall Street crowd.

While late-hit pain is OK with AP, waterboarding our enemies – who are AP’s friends since they are trying to destroy democracy – is not OK. Why? Because it’s “torture” (Nov. 13), and a “harsh technique” and “an unnecessary violent tactic” (AP, May 2 dispatch).

And AP will decide the re-election of socialist Obama in 2012.

Tom, I have known you for several years. I thought you were more informed and too intelligent to call the president a socialist.I would expect that from the Limbaugh crowd, not you.

Call a rose, a rose; a spade,

Call a rose, a rose; a spade, a spade; a socialist, a socialist. "Dem the facts".

Other than that, I do not know about anyone else here but I had to really piece in a lot of information as well as guess some of the connections to understand this letter in how it was written.

Of course, it may not be Mr. Hunter's fault. Might be an editorial problem.

Obama has espoused a wealth

Obama has espoused a wealth redistribution policy I think we all can agree on. Call that what you will. As far as the "Limbaugh crowd," I'd rather be one of them than the Chris Matthews crowd with tingles running up their legs around Obama.

Wealth redistribution needs

Wealth redistribution needs to start with government officials. The president, congress, cabinet members, tzars, and all other high ranking government officials need to give up their high salaries and lifetime perks such as free unlimited health care and free retirement salaries, which they receive regardless if they serve one term or ten. Make them pay into social security and retirement plans like the rest of us have to do.

Yes, just like they did for every Presidential election before. What has changed. Lets not get started with the Fox's News Group coverage of events.

Hey WILLIE, did Obama's "redistribute the wealth" comment to Joe the Plumber convince you he's not a socialist? If it walks like a duck...

If you honestly believe Obama

If you honestly believe Obama is a socialist, then the kindest thing you can be called is misinformed, and the applicability of that term is greatly strained, because this is the administration that has overseen record corporate profits, which threw out the "public option" without debate and, by escalating the drone war, has guaranteed that the military-industrial complex will survive and thrive, at the expense of Pakistani wedding parties. This is a center-right, Establishment-friendly administration, and if you don't know that, then it's entirely because you trust the words of pseudo-journalists and entertainers who lie to you purely for profit, and have no respect for your faculties. And if you're someone who believes and recirculates those forwarded e-mails of unattributed anecdotes and assertions, then maybe you need to take a few minutes to ask yourself why some of your relatives don't read any mail from you anymore.

Jon Lester has given you the

Jon Lester has given you the democrat campaign strategy for 2012.

They are going to convince you they are what they aren't, haven't been doing what they have been doing, and aren't headed where they've been going all along.

If you enjoy paying someone else's mortgage payment, the continued destruction of American manufacturing and the American middle class, paying people for NOT working, buying then destroying a whole generation of perfectly good used "clunkers," and many more "accomplishments" Jon Lester failed to mention then I suppose you should vote for democrats in the next election.

Otherwise, you might want to choose the other side.

jon lester..Is this intended

jon lester..Is this intended for yourself? No conservative poster on here opens email, it is sent to "spam". We have known better for years. And... Fox News does not have , if that was your insinuation, pseudo-journalists but some of the best known journalists alive today. As for entertainers, with the exception of maybe a half-dozen, they are of the far-left persuasion and simply adore Obama, and you know how we feel about that.

Aw shucks, jon. Don't you realize that we know the difference and what you are saying is your point of view, which are are welcome to, and not ours.

Obama at the very least is a

Obama at the very least is a narcissistic, arrogant progressive liberal who promotes cronyism within his social circles, has all the socialist/communists 'friends' and 'czars' anyone of a like persuasion would ever want, and in my opinion has done more to divide this country than anyone in his position ever has done before....

But -- His people love him, and he'll probably be reelected with the help of his media, his Wall Street and Hollywood donors, and all his devoted entitlement friends.......
