Pupil's 'Messiah' soared

  • Follow Letters

On Dec. 12, I was invited by my fourth -grade grandson to attend his grade’s Christmas program at Westminster Schools of Augusta. I was amazed when I arrived to find that both fourth- and fifth-graders were about to present The Messiah.

This magnificent cantata is difficult enough for adult choirs to perform, but to hear this beautiful music being sung by these young pupils was wonderful. What great talent and what a fantastic music director this school is privileged to have.

Thank you, Westminster School and fourth- and fifth-graders!
