YPA making a difference

In life, you are given opportunities, and you hope to make the most of them. During my time as the president of the Young Professionals of Augusta, we made a difference in the community. We also created an outlet for young professionals, regardless of their occupations, to meet and network with one another.

I am so very thankful for all of our guests, speakers, sponsors, board members and especially our YPA members who believed in us enough to be a part of the organization. I have been blessed with many things during my time as president, and am thankful to all of those who believed in me.

Next year, YPA turns to one of the original founders to continue the success of the organization. Brooke Hixon-Pribble has many great ideas and unending passion to lead in 2012. I am excited to see where the organization will be in a year from now. Welcome her with open arms!

I ask that you please help me close out this incredible year with a bang! Between now and Dec, 13, YPA and the bar/restaurant Somewhere in Augusta will be collecting toys for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the CSRA. Please drop off unwrapped toys for boys and girls ages 6-12 at SIA.

On Dec. 13, join YPA for our Boys and Girls Club Toy Drive and Networking Event at 5:30 p.m. at Somewhere in Augusta. It is open to the public.

Thank you CSRA, and Happy Holidays!

Sean Frantom
