New World Order coming?

For the second time in history, a group of powerful men set out to economically and socially engineer the course of human events.

The engineering was called the New World Order, or one-world government.

Some of its proponents were George H.W. Bush, Henry Kissinger and David Rockefeller. That New World Order is playing out under the new term of “global economy.” However, global economy is only one element of the New World Order.

One of the facets of the NWO was to virtually reduce state-of-the-art education to its lowest form for the public masses. The highest form of education would be consigned to those of the wealthy and powerful. No more teaching of critical thinking, arts, languages and the like that used to be fundamental to education. They needed followers, not thinkers.

The public masses are relegated to service jobs. Look at the curricula of the plethora of two-year schools that have cropped up in Augusta and the nation at large: Strayer University, Virginia College and Miller-Motte College are some. By no means is this to disparage the purpose of these colleges. Their purpose is to prepare the bulk of people to serve the upper classes working as dental hygienists, wash and cut hair, repair cars, work in hotels, etc. No more high-paying industrial jobs.

The protesters of Wall Street know what they are talking about when they speak of class warfare. Industrialism is all but a memory, having been replaced by a technical society, and there is no place for those who were of this generation.

Sadly, this lofty ideal is supported by many in Congress who want to cut funding for education. We will have no one to blame but ourselves for electing officials who vote on behalf of the wealthy and powerful.

Technocracy is a paradoxical

Technocracy is a paradoxical beast. It has risen inevitably from applying assembly line philosophy to social roles as our society becomes modeled more and more on corporate organizational schemes. The very system that created efficiency is now producing bloated redundancy at the top -- a glut of executives living off the services that the rest of Americans provide, if they are lucky enough to have followed the right procedural steps to get a seat on the cubicle train.

Like any top-heavy organization, we're witnessing some wobble and topple. It will be interesting to see how things evolve going forward. I don't take the zombie-entitlementees clawing at my windows view that many people seem to be terrified of as the inevitable result; the people waiting to curl up and die in their panic rooms are far outnumbered by the people with the energy and the love of life needed to pull us through to a better tomorrow.

Thought provoking letter, the ACES has been putting their thinking caps on a bit more in recent weeks -- yet another indicator that not everyone is of the curl-up-and-die, woe-is-me persuasion ...

2 year schools are a great idea....not all are college material...many could benefit from trade schools..
Thank goodness we have them.....I think Ross Perot said we would hear a sucking sound of jobs going bye-bye & we have heard it loud/clear!!!

This is an excellent letter from Ms. Thurmond and it should generate some thoughtful discussion.

Visionaries. That's how they view themselves. Intellectually aloof from the rest of us dummies, they see the planet as a ship, now with about seven billion passengers and growing. Each passenger, by their way of thinking, is just like any other and, aside from the crew who will live in relative splendor, all passengers deserve the same class of service.

There are lots of reasons they've adopted this notion of a one ship navy, as opposed to each nation having its own ship. One of them is nuclear weapons and the affects crossing national borders. Another is the geographical distribution of diminishing supplies of natural resources which are owned by few, but needed by many. Another is wealth and the suite of advantages related thereto. We're going to have to figure out a way to live together, they reason, or die a miserably slow death as individual nations, constantly fighting amongst ourselves trying to outlive and outlast the others.

Seenit, I think the problem this letter is pointing out is that as govt and society are increasingly corporatized, big daddy govt is EVERYWHERE. The "job creators" increasingly are at the heart of governance, supplanting the popular voice with the pure power of capital.

You will never get Progressives, Socialists, Marxists to agree that there is a New World Order being planned because they WANT it.

It is coming. We are the biggest contributor to the IMF who is now using OUR hard earned money to bail out Europe who will never pay us back (they still owe us money from WWII, what makes us think they'd pay us now?!).

When Socialist Europe collapses (soon with no bailout, delayed by a year or two with a bailout), then we will collapse (sooner if we don't get the mad marxist out of office) and then you will see a New World Order. You can absolutely count on it.

When society breaks down, people rush to the government for "help". And help they will. You just won't like the outcome in the end.

The game is fixed folks. We are controlled by the politicians and the bankers. They've been smarter than us for decades, we've been their pawns and they have won. It's now just a waiting game for them. And they are very patient because they know the dominos have been properly set up. They just need the first one to be pushed. Europe is the first domino.

Burn...I do get that....yes we have big govt. in EVERYTHING but....the power is in the numbers.....yes the wealthy can buy votes & rule the roost...but just like the upset with theTea party in the last election...we can make it happen again....this time it could be the coffee crowd....the common sense w/o the fluff crowd.....we might not sit out in tents in parks but we VOTE & our dollars will matter especially in large groups..
One of the reasons the Rep.party can't settle on a candidate is
because we are so dang unhappy with the status quo..........we can make a difference & I don't want anything shoved down my throat by any politician from any party.

I wish Chillen was wrong, but I know he's right. The entire "global" economy is in the toilet and it's just a matter of time. Once the dominoes start to tumble it will be all encompassing. There are too many problems that are too big to fix. The hemorraging is too widespread. Everyone needs to do what they can to provide for their families.
