New World Order coming?

  • Follow Letters

For the second time in history, a group of powerful men set out to economically and socially engineer the course of human events.

The engineering was called the New World Order, or one-world government.

Some of its proponents were George H.W. Bush, Henry Kissinger and David Rockefeller. That New World Order is playing out under the new term of “global economy.” However, global economy is only one element of the New World Order.

One of the facets of the NWO was to virtually reduce state-of-the-art education to its lowest form for the public masses. The highest form of education would be consigned to those of the wealthy and powerful. No more teaching of critical thinking, arts, languages and the like that used to be fundamental to education. They needed followers, not thinkers.

The public masses are relegated to service jobs. Look at the curricula of the plethora of two-year schools that have cropped up in Augusta and the nation at large: Strayer University, Virginia College and Miller-Motte College are some. By no means is this to disparage the purpose of these colleges. Their purpose is to prepare the bulk of people to serve the upper classes working as dental hygienists, wash and cut hair, repair cars, work in hotels, etc. No more high-paying industrial jobs.

The protesters of Wall Street know what they are talking about when they speak of class warfare. Industrialism is all but a memory, having been replaced by a technical society, and there is no place for those who were of this generation.

Sadly, this lofty ideal is supported by many in Congress who want to cut funding for education. We will have no one to blame but ourselves for electing officials who vote on behalf of the wealthy and powerful.

Sameera V. Thurmond

Augusta

Technocracy is a paradoxical

Technocracy is a paradoxical beast. It has risen inevitably from applying assembly line philosophy to social roles as our society becomes modeled more and more on corporate organizational schemes. The very system that created efficiency is now producing bloated redundancy at the top -- a glut of executives living off the services that the rest of Americans provide, if they are lucky enough to have followed the right procedural steps to get a seat on the cubicle train.

Like any top-heavy organization, we're witnessing some wobble and topple. It will be interesting to see how things evolve going forward. I don't take the zombie-entitlementees clawing at my windows view that many people seem to be terrified of as the inevitable result; the people waiting to curl up and die in their panic rooms are far outnumbered by the people with the energy and the love of life needed to pull us through to a better tomorrow.

Thought provoking letter, the ACES has been putting their thinking caps on a bit more in recent weeks -- yet another indicator that not everyone is of the curl-up-and-die, woe-is-me persuasion ...

I have noticed all the power

I have noticed all the power that George H.W. wields. This is the same man that has been trotting the globe with Bill Clinton, I assume. I had been wondering what those two were up to.

Now that is too funny, obviously poking fun at those who warn folks to prepare for uncertain times ahead. I doubt these people planning and preparing to care for their families are quite the type to curl up and die. Hahaha

SAMEERA, you've conveniently
Unpublished

SAMEERA, you've conveniently ignored the fact that we spend more on education in this country than most of the other nations of the world. Yet, our students are lagging behind many "poor" countries in international math and science competitions. Countries like India, South Korea, China, and Russia, with nowhere near the economies we have, have kids that are beating the pants off ours. My point? Shooting more money at the problem won't solve it. I know, that's against every liberal's way of thinking, but it doesn't change the fact.

This is an excellent letter

This is an excellent letter from Ms. Thurmond and it should generate some thoughtful discussion.

Visionaries. That's how they view themselves. Intellectually aloof from the rest of us dummies, they see the planet as a ship, now with about seven billion passengers and growing. Each passenger, by their way of thinking, is just like any other and, aside from the crew who will live in relative splendor, all passengers deserve the same class of service.

There are lots of reasons they've adopted this notion of a one ship navy, as opposed to each nation having its own ship. One of them is nuclear weapons and the affects crossing national borders. Another is the geographical distribution of diminishing supplies of natural resources which are owned by few, but needed by many. Another is wealth and the suite of advantages related thereto. We're going to have to figure out a way to live together, they reason, or die a miserably slow death as individual nations, constantly fighting amongst ourselves trying to outlive and outlast the others.

Seenit, I think the problem

Seenit, I think the problem this letter is pointing out is that as govt and society are increasingly corporatized, big daddy govt is EVERYWHERE. The "job creators" increasingly are at the heart of governance, supplanting the popular voice with the pure power of capital.

You will never get

You will never get Progressives, Socialists, Marxists to agree that there is a New World Order being planned because they WANT it.

It is coming. We are the biggest contributor to the IMF who is now using OUR hard earned money to bail out Europe who will never pay us back (they still owe us money from WWII, what makes us think they'd pay us now?!).

When Socialist Europe collapses (soon with no bailout, delayed by a year or two with a bailout), then we will collapse (sooner if we don't get the mad marxist out of office) and then you will see a New World Order. You can absolutely count on it.

When society breaks down, people rush to the government for "help". And help they will. You just won't like the outcome in the end.

The game is fixed folks. We are controlled by the politicians and the bankers. They've been smarter than us for decades, we've been their pawns and they have won. It's now just a waiting game for them. And they are very patient because they know the dominos have been properly set up. They just need the first one to be pushed. Europe is the first domino.

Burn...I do get that....yes

Burn...I do get that....yes we have big govt. in EVERYTHING but....the power is in the numbers.....yes the wealthy can buy votes & rule the roost...but just like the upset with theTea party in the last election...we can make it happen again....this time it could be the coffee crowd....the common sense w/o the fluff crowd.....we might not sit out in tents in parks but we VOTE & our dollars will matter especially in large groups..
One of the reasons the Rep.party can't settle on a candidate is
because we are so dang unhappy with the status quo..........we can make a difference & I don't want anything shoved down my throat by any politician from any party.

I wish Chillen was wrong, but I know he's right. The entire "global" economy is in the toilet and it's just a matter of time. Once the dominoes start to tumble it will be all encompassing. There are too many problems that are too big to fix. The hemorraging is too widespread. Everyone needs to do what they can to provide for their families.

New World Order “The common

New World Order

“The common theme in conspiracy theories about a New World Order is that a secretive power elite with a globalist agenda is conspiring to eventually rule the world through an authoritarian world government—which replaces sovereign nation-states—and an all-encompassing propaganda that ideologizes its establishment as the culmination of history's progress. Significant occurrences in politics and finance are speculated to be orchestrated by an unduly influential cabal operating through many front organizations. Numerous historical and current events are seen as steps in an on-going plot to achieve world domination through secret political gatherings and decision-making processes.”

***Google the transcript from the Bush speech given on September 11, 1990.....*** it make you think! Exactly 11 years later?!....what do the two twin towers resemble?

Look at the occult dates of MANY mass deaths.(Norway, Joplin, Gulf Oil Spill, Japan Earthquake)

Look at the dates when certain major events happen in this world. ( The Royal Wedding)

Compare texts from the original Egyptians and the Bible. There are MANY similarities, yet, the Bible is only 2,000 years old.

Look into the occult symbolism on the Denver International Airport.

We are not being told many things. Why, IDK, but I TRUST GOD.

BE A CRITICAL THINKER, not a conspiracy nut...

Trying to unconvinced someone

Trying to unconvinced someone that subscribes to a conspiracy theory is a waste of time because of the self-sealing quality of conspiracy theories.

“Conspiracy Theories”

"Abstract:

Many millions of people hold conspiracy theories; they believe that powerful people have worked together in order to withhold the truth about some important practice or some terrible event. A recent example is the belief, widespread in some parts of the world, that the attacks of 9/11 were carried out not by Al Qaeda, but by Israel or the United States…Such theories typically spread as a result of identifiable cognitive blunders, operating in conjunction with informational and reputational influences. A distinctive feature of conspiracy theories is their self-sealing quality. Conspiracy theorists are not likely to be persuaded by an attempt to dispel their theories; they may even characterize that very attempt as further proof of the conspiracy. Because those who hold conspiracy theories typically suffer from a crippled epistemology, in accordance with which it is rational to hold such theories…”
