Novice president has made us less free

  • Follow Letters

We should have told the Democrats that The Hudsucker Proxy was just theater. Having taken it seriously, they nominated a complete novice with zero experience as their presidential candidate.

Then, in a pathetic Mouse That Roared allegory, the novice was elected with predictable results as he assembled an administration of anarchists, union organizers, media manipulators, racists and communists whose only skills seem to be in organizing a Pravda-like propaganda machine.

Make no mistake – we wanted and very badly needed for the novice to be successful. So, race-baiters, slither back under the rock from which you emerged. Lacking the experience to develop pragmatic solutions, the novice blindly followed the Democratic National Committee version of the “give a man a fish” parable (give a man one fish every day, and he will sit on his rear and vote Democratic) that has resulted in thousands of families across several generations as welfare
sponges.

Despite the utter failure of similar policies, the novice pushes us inexorably along the same exact path that has turned Greece, Spain and even the United Kingdom into a social and economic quagmire. The simple truth no Democrat wants to face is this: This administration is an incompetent and abject failure.

Individuals are significantly poorer and, because of a headlong drive to force corrupt labor unions down our throats, we are now less competitive as a nation. We are less safe as nuclear materials accumulate at an alarming rate with no management plan and for the first time in a generation morale in the military is beginning to fall.

But, perhaps most importantly, increased government control of our lives means we are less free than at any time in our history.

"That's about all we can hope

"That's about all we can hope for unless we the people over throw the government as it exists. And I don't think the American sheeple have any fight in them."
-------------

The sheeple don't, that's for sure. But the younger generation, and people that do their own fact-checking of propaganda claims, do. It's harder to maintain a disinformed population when the population is so well networked. Politicians and business leaders have relied on their ability to lie to one local group to get their support, and then move on to another local group without word getting out. It's like Obama's problems with Rev. Wright, or Gov. Haley blatantly lying about SRS drug-failure rates, or Bachmann's HPV retardation claim. People in power have just gotten used to lying to their supporters and getting a free pass because its "their" team.

It's one thing when lying and hypocrisy are passing thoughts in the wind that change in supporters' memories. It's another thing when they are stored in the Web for perpetuity. We're just seeing the barest start of it, but I guarantee: it's not going to be a demagogue dealing in insinuations that is going to make the change happen. It's going to be the people.

And that's what's got the string-pullers and their AM and Cable network mouthpieces so hysterical.

bj. One important point you

bj. One important point you forgot to mention. Under Bush, there was Democrat rule in the House & the Senate for quite some time. Their influence is quite apparent. Lets address your points now.

How about privacy? Cameras everywhere, nude airport scanners, Unionized government TSA gropers.” [some formed under Bush. The scanners were ordered by obama. His friend George Soros was invested in the companies who made them. ALL ramped up & more aggressive under obama. Loss of more freedom]

“How about the right to choose whether or not you want health insurance?” [Freedom taken away by obama. End of discussion on that]

“How about my healthcare privacy? I don't want the govt having my records.” [American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Obama & Congress set as a goal "for each every person in the United States" to have an electronic health record"]

“Weren't some of our gun rights just taken away by obama?” [That's why I asked - he is working on it though. To quote him "We’re working on gun control “under the radar” Don't you just love being able to use exact words?]

“How about my email freedom? Freedom from govt spying?” [Ramped up & continued by obama. Loss of more freedom]

“How about the freedom to choose the type of h/c plan I want instead of the ones that the govt dictates we must choose from?” [Again. Freedom lost under obama. No discussion to be had. Just fact.]

“How about the right to choose what type of appliance you want to buy or light bulb you want to buy? Without govt censorship of certain products due to "environmental" concerns.” [New, much stricter standards by obama. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-5122470-503544.html Soon we will be paying $50 for a lightbulb]

“How about the freedom to not be assassinated by our US President without trial?” [The killing of citizens declared by the executive branch to be “terrorists” was first announced as state policy by OBAMA'S director of national intelligence, Dennis C. Blair Plus enjoy this little gem: http://www.wsws.org/articles/2010/apr2010/pers-a08.shtml For the FIRST time in history, obama orders assassination of US citizen.]

“How about the freedom from oppressive govt & oppressive taxes that my children & grandchildren will have to bear thanks to big spender O?” [Obama had the freedom to stop it. He and his 2 stooges amassed more national debt that all US Presidents combined. In just 2 years. Fact]

“How about the freedom to succeed and be exceptional without ridicule and attacks from this administration?” [Are we allowed freedom from ridicule by other posters? And we certainly should be free from ridicule by our President - who is a morale killer and incompetent fool]

So there you have it. Research done. Nice try at discrediting it though. Gotta give you credit for that.

Now BJ. I have to ask you.

Now BJ. I have to ask you. Can you please tell me what freedoms we have GAINED by obama being in office? Please tell us what freedoms he has fiercely protected. I'd love to see your list. Good luck!

I'd also love for any liberal here to explain why a democrat is now calling for election suspension in 2012. And don't say she was joking. We have all heard the audio & know that is not true - she didn't laugh. She was laughed at but she was NOT laughing.

I'd also love for any liberal here to justify the new $1 billion solar loans. After Solyndra shouldn't they have learned their lesson? Did you all know that a Solyndra investor is also invested in one of these new companies?

Also, why was one of the loans given to Pelosi's brother in law's company?

I swear a novelist with a vivid imagination couldn't make this stuff up.

Don't forget about the job

Don't forget about the job re-training for the laid off Solyndra employees the government is funding. If a Republican was in the White House and this crookedness was going on, the Dems would be frothing at the mouth.

Zero; I wish that was the final Jeopardy question last night.

She doesn’t have the power to do that, she only has the power to say really stupid stuff and apparently has a history of saying really stupid stuff.

”I'd also love for any liberal here to justify the new $1 billion solar loans. After Solyndra shouldn't they have learned their lesson? Did you all know that a Solyndra investor is also invested in one of these new companies?”

The Department of Energy's Loan Guarantee Program was created by the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and expanded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009; therefore, DOE does not have the authority to discontinue it without legislation directing them to do so. It called LAW.

I have no problem with Congress passing legislation to scale back or eliminate Green Energy loans and subsidies; it’s a boondoggle that enriches a handful, sends warm fuzzy tingles up liberal legs, and makes them feel all giddy inside.

“Also, why was one of the loans given to Pelosi's brother in law's company?”

Because the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 do not have loan qualification provisions that include restrictions based on in-law familial relationships’.
