Retiring administrator leaves rich legacy

  • Follow Letters

In this day and age where most citizens feel that they are not getting their money’s worth out of their government, Columbia County is an exception.

For the past two decades, County Administrator Steve Szablewski has guided the elected officials and citizens in a most professional manner. His vision, honesty and wisdom have been
incredibly important in the success of our county. His conservative values in treating each taxpayer’s dollar as his own has kept us growing and prospering.

Steve retires today, and hopefully will enjoy a long and well-deserved rest from the day-to-day grind of running a large government. He has left a legacy of buildings and budget surpluses, but his best legacy will be all the lives he affected, from citizens to employees.

Bet Steve's glad to get away

Bet Steve's glad to get away from that RINO, tax and spender "Double" Cross and his sycophants.

Charles, please keep a close watch on Steve's successor and keep up apprised as to how well "Double" and Steve's newly- and quietly-appointed successor protect our interests.
