'Depraved' congressman should resign

I am sure everyone has an opinion regarding the despicable act committed by U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner of New York. I have one, too, that may differ from all the rest.

I have watched Mr. Weiner on numerous occasions in interviews and short televised spots when he was addressing his peers in Congress. His caustic demeanor and arrogant disposition was a total turnoff, to say the least. Now that he has been caught like a rat in a trap with no way to escape, he admitted to his indiscretions, which makes him an exhibitionist. People who do what he has done need psychiatric counseling at the very least.

The fact that he told the public for two weeks that someone else was playing a prank on him makes him a liar and untrustworthy.

Whether he is a Democrat, Republican or independent representing the people, he has violated our trust and disgraced his position as one who is part of our ruling class. From my perspective, he is in a position to be privy to all sorts of sensitive information that he can't be trusted with any longer. He should step down immediately and spare us from anymore of his sick, depraved antics.

He should go to the Citadel

He should go to the Citadel for a couple of months for his rehab. A good Southern military college might teach him how to behave. His platoon guide should be the cadet who tried to drive the pencil into the skull of the plebe.

I think his effectiveness is

I think his effectiveness is at an end, but at the same time, I recognize that the longer he dithers, the longer AIPAC will have one fewer bought-and-paid-for operatives in Congress.
