Leadership is lacking in our country

  • Follow Letters

President Obama has laid waste to our way of living by causing the destruction of our country's economy and the demise of democracy as we know it. The lack of clear leadership boils down to the vague background of our commander in chief.

Obama supporters were deceived by his words of hope, which differ from what he has done thus far. Even at that, there are way too many people walking around who still can't see the forest for the trees as our country slips away.

This sheep in wolf's clothing has a country-killing agenda that has put future generations in peril because of mismanagement and plain incompetence.

His latest blunder is using our military like mercenaries in Libya, not knowing who the real enemy is. As far as I am concerned, he was duped into supporting the other nations in their quest to fulfill their personal agendas for oil.

Considering that we are involved in two theaters of war already, we didn't need to get involved in a third conflict that has all the makings of another Vietnam.

Being a 100-percent disabled Marine Vietnam veteran, I remember the same excuse used by other presidents who involved us in some other countries' business. We are doing this to save the people, or we have vested interest in protecting this or that country.

"Leadership" is the operative word. I couldn't care less which party is governing. What matters to me is: What makes the leaders qualified? It is imperative we have a specific set of qualifications for the next president; otherwise, we will go the way of the dinosaurs.

"There are many allegations

"There are many allegations that Al-queda is the main backer of the resistance against Gaddafi"

Who is making those allegations besides Gadhafi?

"The same situation was in Egypt, Mubarak or the Muslim Brotherhood?"

How are the Muslim Brotherhood scary and evil? They are pretty close to being on par with American GOP- you should read up on where they stand on things.

I can't believe people are complaining about saving lives- countless lives. Not 10-20 lives, but hundreds of thousands of innocent lives. Glad to know so many Americans side on watching a slaughter unfold...

Excellent letter. You could

Excellent letter. You could not be more accurate.

For 8 solid years the media whipped the America public into a Bush/Republican-hating frenzy.

What we got as a result was a smooth talking, teleprompter reading, community organizer. Someone the media fawned over because they believed him to be the answer to the Progressives dream. Someone who could swoop in and accomplish their Soros-inspired agenda.

He only worked 50% of the time when he was in the Senate. Is it any wonder that he spends a great deal of his time and our money on the golf course, on vacation or hosting lavish parties? Lazy. Entitled. Greedy.

America faces very, very difficult times and we could not have made a worse choice in Barack Hussein Obama (at least I think that's his name). Not all the problems we face are his fault but it is clear that he is woefully unprepared to handle what is being thrown at him. In fact, his far-left radical agenda has made it worse.

Hope and Change has been replaced by Despair and Incompetence.

Our children & grandchildren will pay very dearly for this progressive experiment. Real democrats, you need to wake up and kick the rats out of your party. They are killing us - like the bubonic plague.

When i heard the word

When i heard the word DINOSAURS it made me think about REPUBLICANS leaders they are EXTINCT and out of touch with middle- class people. So, Gregory Topliff i know u are tired of unaccontable officials, of being over taxed in this very difficult recessionary time but u just can't see behind that big ELEPHANT in your face and u don't have a clue which party is the cause and which party,Democratic, has been efficient.

I see many readers only have

I see many readers only have tunnel vision when reading our letters, picking out little tidbits to hone in on so, they can leave their wisdom and stupidity. My letter made reference to a man who doesn't know how to lead or make decisions from experience. The bottom line is the way in which we elect our president. We need a change to the constitution that amends the simplistic requirements for anyone running for the highest office in the country. What we need is a specific set of qualifications that would qualify a person to really lead this country. What is not needed is another wanna be who thinks he or she can make it up as they go along, putting our country into a tailspin to oblivion.
