Just butt out of Wisconsin's business

  • Follow Letters

Let me get this straight. It's inappropriate for the president of the United States to weigh in on the budget fight in Wisconsin, but it's perfectly fine for the conservative hacks on The Augusta Chronicle's editorial board to spout their nonsense about it?

You should look up hypocrisy in the dictionary and post the definition in your board meetings. You should worry more about the giant pile of social and economic problems in your own back yard, and keep your uneducated opinions about other states to yourselves.

Paul Hilt

Lets see. "hacks", "spout",

Lets see. "hacks", "spout", "giant pile", uneducated". Wonder what side of the protest he was on.

Must have just got back home after trashing the Statehouse. Hey Paul, with $7.5 million in damages to the Capital building, how many more state employees are going to be layed off now to free up repair money?

Hypocrisy is easy to find in the dictionary. Obama's picture is there. Listed for antonyms is "see Libya, Middle East remarks"

It is obvious he is a union

It is obvious he is a union government worker and wants no one to mess with his sweethart deal. NEWSFLASH to Mr. Hilt, your states budget and union problems are on the news all over the world and you now have a Governor who is strong enough to stand up to them. I applade him. His message is now spreading to other states and that is good.

The President of the United

The President of the United States is an elected FEDERAL official who has no business butting into state issues. This matter is 100% outside of his jurisdiction.

Plus, we all know why he did it. He and his Chicago cronies are are at the forefront of this union/socialist/destroy America movement. He feels threatened by the Wisconsin govt & citizen actions, that's why he's butting in.

However, the Augusta Chronicle is a private business and can do darn well what they please.

Next ridiculous liberal comment please.

It's bad enough that Obama

It's bad enough that Obama used his federal office to attempt to sway public opinion in a state matter. But what is outrageous is that he supported the AWOL state senators and used the national Democrat party to organize and bus in union protesters from out of state. It was the hypocrites Obama and Pelosi that accused the TEA Party of organzing out of state demostrators to influence various state elections. Apparently any tactic is okay if Democrats do it but the same tactics are practically seditious if conservatives use them. Hypocrites! Democrats get furious when conservatives use the same methods that they have been using for years. Remember Obamacare and ram the legislation through Wisconsin. Pelosi and Reid would do it to you.

The Constitutional scholars

The Constitutional scholars in the CSRA amaze me. President Obama shouldn't be involved with State activities, but when legislatures convene in Atlanta and destroys the local economy your hand is out looking for the feds. The 10th Amendment doesn't call for the State's power at its convenience.
