The Augusta Chronicle continues to have a hard time saying the right thing about its opposition. While it's right to honor Michelle Obama and her fight against childhood obesity ("First lady is right; why fight her?" Feb. 14), you show your usual hypocrisy throughout this editorial.
You never supported Barack Obama for president, and continue to trash him -- then say it's great for young black boys and girls to have him and Michelle to look up to as positive role models. You support Republican (see: conservative) values, which include corporate America and big business. Those two entities helped create childhood obesity.
What gall for you to then support Michelle's initiative in regulating what restaurants can and can't serve. As a server and as a consumer, and as someone who holds a degree in physical education, I agree with Michelle's "pet cause" wholeheartedly -- yet disagree with The Augusta Chronicle pandering to those who truly support the Obamas.
