Hearing would set bad global precedent

  • Follow Letters

The Palestinian Authority, which is not a nation, has demanded a hearing before the International Criminal Court accusing Israeli solders of war crimes. What the Israeli solders were doing was defending Israel against the rocket attacks by the Palestinians.

If the ICC decides to hear this case, this would open the door for other nations to bring similar charges, such as against the United States. As with Israel, the charges against us would be unjust -- but that would be of little concern to the nations that do not look favorably upon us.

Such action would diminish us as a sovereign state, as so with Israel, and bring us under international law -- something the liberals are trying to do and would love to see come about.

With the peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians coming to a stop, no doubt the bombing of Israel by the Palestinians will resume. Israel, in anticipation of this, is seeking to build more bomb shelters for their children.

How close are we before we see an all-out war against Israel? Is this the time the Bible speaks of, in regard to the Rapture?

I don't foresee the Rapture

I don't foresee the Rapture indicated by the ongoing assault on Israel, but recognizing the ICC is a sure sign of stupidity. I expect Dems to support it.

The Rapture doesn't take

The Rapture doesn't take place till the last day. Just consider 1 Thessalonians 4:16, which says the dead in Christ will rise first, immediately before we are all caught up, i.e., Raptured (next verse). Then consider John 6:39, 40, 44, where Jesus repeatedly says the last day is when He will resurrect the people who believe in Him.

Usually whoever has standing

Usually whoever has standing to sue can also be sued. If the PA, though not a nation, can sue Israel and the U.S., Israel and the U.S. can sue the PA for not stopping the violence and rocket attacks. Trouble is, the PA isn't wealthy or productive and therefore isn't a good target for a lawsuit.

Pretty laughable for

Pretty laughable for Palestinians to make a war crimes charge against Israel, when Palestinians lob mortars routinely in indescrimate fashion not giving a hoot whether they kill a soldier, man, woman or child. Their aim is only to kill Israelis period.

Israel should cease their tolerance for these terrorist neighbors and do to them as Iran's presdent has promised to do to Israel, "wipe them off the map" and be done with them. They are a pestilence.

One of the saddest things in

One of the saddest things in the world now are people that try to tell other peole something, and they know not what they are speaking about. Mr. Ward and Fundamental Arminian, there is no such thing as rapture, no one is going anywhere!! When Jesus comes to this earth (the second advent), HE is staying. At that time we(that love HIM and have chosen to be a Christian),will be 'chosen' and given something better than can ever be imagined. That is what 'caught up' in the Greek means. Please, people check out the true meanings of words or phrases before you start throwing them out for the ignorant to make fun of.

Something else some of you need to know, that little country(nation) of Israel is only two tribes. You need to know where the other ten have gone(scattered).
