This administration is destroying us

  • Follow Letters

From the passage of the health-care "reform" and the flagrant disregard of the rights of states to protect their borders, to dismissal of the lawsuits against the New Black Panther Party purely on racial grounds, the Obama administration and this Congress have shown their disdain for the American people, our country and the rule of law!

One of their most egregious actions is the corruption of the mission of NASA -- from an organization tasked with the exploration of space and staffed with probably the best scientific minds in the country, to an organization whose main mission now has become, at the behest of Barack Obama, outreach to Muslims!

Condoning the insensitive construction of a mosque near the hallowed location of the Muslim attack on 9-11 is nothing less than a deliberate poke in the eye for our country and those 3,000 who perished there.

This is not an administration of and for the people, but a budding dictatorship and a narcissistic cult of one man!

Our foreign, domestic and military policies are in disarray; the agencies charged with enforcing our immigration laws have apparently been told not to enforce them; and our economy is wrecked to the point it will take years to recover!

The reason we are not adding jobs to the economic recovery is because there is no recovery! Businesses large and small are being treated like pariahs, and threatened with redistribution of wealth through higher taxes, coupled with more burdensome government regulation. They are understandably reluctant to invest and to hire under those circumstances.

Those in Congress and the administration who advocate this insane and destructive class envy have not a shred of common sense about what they are doing to this country with their wrongheaded philosophies and social and economic experimentation -- and apparently they don't care!

Robert Smock

Mr. Smock, you are absolutely correct on all points. Regarding your last paragraph, Obama knows exactly what he is doing and he is doing it all deliberately. He appears to be an empty suit, a willing puppet doing George Soros' bidding.

Mr. Smock, if you would

Mr. Smock, if you would really like to see who it is that is destroying America, just look in a mirror.

Folks like you, the AC editorial writers, and those constant and repetitious responders that parrot your bitter hatred on these threads have done absolutely nothing for the past 20 months but carp and pray (and very possibly plot) for the absolute failure of the current administration; and thereby, for the destruction of America.

Anyone notice that the writer never mentioned what his race is, yet sjgraci ASSUMED that since he criticized the President, then he MUST be white. Why is that....does sjgraci believe that ALL black people love Obama..........hmmmmmmmmm... Pretty easy to see who the REAL bigot is, isn't it.

There's no doubt that obama

There's no doubt that obama has united most of this country against him, apparently his only positive accomplishment in life, but I don't think this communitarian is anything other than another part of the ongoing effort to destroy capitalism and liberty that was begun in earnest back in the '30s.
The dumbing down of America, the end of personal responsibility and accountability, the lowering of the standard for morals, the government takeover of businesses is just some of the choreographed effort to destroy this country. The obama not only represents this effort, but has made huge gains in promoting it. Until voters recognize this, and many have, nothing will be done to stop this assault.
The shock and awe that will take place this November can't be the whole war. It must be part of an ongoing effort to take this country back from those that don't know what individualism is, but still find it so offensive.

Mr. Smock, I see that the

Mr. Smock, I see that the minions of Obama, Greenbaum, etc., have already started the mud-slinging. You have obviously struck a nerve among the "give it to me now and give it to me free" crowd. As usual, their only response is to call those who disagree with their politics divisive, racist, bigots, and anti-American. The Democrats are going into full panic mode as they see their "hope and change" falling apart.

there is 'no recovery'

there is 'no recovery' because of the actions of the previous administration, who was left with a surplus, and managed to squander that surplus, and entrench us in a war that was useless, only because of his need to make a place in history. Bush did that, leaving this country in the worst shape in decades, only for the people after him to clean up his mess, just as his father did. NASA, mr man, should have been funded years ago, as we have known that the shuttle program would be retiring, as the fleet is worn out, yet bush did nothing. don't blame this administration

John McCain, Hillary Clinton,

John McCain, Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama all die and go to heaven. God looks down from his throne and asks McCain, “Do you think you deserve to be in heaven?”

McCain takes a breath and then replies, “Well, I think so because I was a great leader and tried to follow the words in your great book.” God looks down and then says, “You can sit to my left side.”

So, McCain takes his seat and then God asks the same question to Hillary, “Do you think you deserve to be in heaven?” Hillary thinks for a second and then replies, “I think so because I have been fighting for the rights of so many people for so long.” God again looks down and this time says, “You can sit to my right side.”

Finally God turns to Barack Obama and asks, “Do you think you deserve to be in heaven?”
Obama smiled and replied, “I think you’re in my seat.”

A fine Opinion piece by Mr.

A fine Opinion piece by Mr. Smock, as usual. While I don't want to be picky, I must agree with Impossible in his comment taking issue with Mr. Smock's final paragraph. I don't think we can assume Obama lacks "common sense," nor do I think any of Obama's policies are "wrongheaded," once you accept the premise that his goals are not what you'd like to think they are. Does he want the economy to survive and prosper? I think not. Does he support the U.S. Constitution? I don't believe he does. I think Obama is the hand-picked implementer and inside operator of a small group of wealthy, powerful, somewhat deranged "elitists" whose world view does not include a thriving, successful, capitalistic, Judeo-Christian, representative republic like the United States. One of the attributes expected of a person judged to have "common sense" is the ability to pursue policies and actions consistent with their goals. What are his goals? Since most rational people can observe Obama's assembled team of advisers and his economic and social policies are destructive to our economy and our political structure all that's left to wonder about is his motives. I don't wonder anymore.

Obama has created the image

Obama has created the image he wants the world to see. All the rhetoric the Democrats dish out cannot change what Obama himself has done to Obama. In all probability he will be a one term president, the Libs will cry foul, and will continue to follow his misguided policies. The public is speaking out. Listen.

Great article Mr. Smock.

Great article Mr. Smock. "This is not an administration of and for the people, but a budding dictatorship and a narcissistic cult of one man!" This pretty much sums up the agenda. We, the silent majority, must do our part in November to put some brakes on dumbobama, then send him packing (hopefully to Kenya) in 2012 IF he lasts that long.
