It is revealing how elected officials in Washington have come to regard taking less of the people's money in taxes -- to largely waste -- is referred to as a "cost," like all of the fruits of our labor belong to them in the first place.
It is indicative of the mind-set of many of them that once they arrive there, sent by the people to serve the people, they become the ruling class, insulated from the people. They line their nests for life, while spending our country into bankruptcy, creating huge bureaucracies to complicate our lives, and buying votes to keep them there forever.
We put term limits on the presidency for good reason. The same needs to be done for Congress.
On another matter that should be of great concern to all of us, the president, while campaigning for office -- and he still is -- said he would create a national police force as well equipped and with as many personnel as our military.
How would he pay for this, and much more importantly, what does he plan to use it for?
Term limits on Congress would be one of the greatest things done for our country in a long time. 16 total years of service sounds like a good number.
I agree Mr Perkins. Buying votes have kept them going for this many years and will until the poor voters wake up and realize they have been had.
All the Congressional ruling class does is disrespect those individuals and corporations that actually pay the bills due to their own hard work, intelligence and risk taking.

Does anyone know if the elite SS troops were formed prior to Hitlers military takeover of other countries. Is there a way that a civilian police force could be created without our knowledge? To see the youtube video of Obama with the crowd excitedly clapping and yelling scares me. I don't think the crowd really understood what he was saying. All Americans should wake up!!
Speaking of the ruling elite, I see the ethics committee is recommending Rangel get a slap on the wrist "reprimand" for his tax evasion. I think next April we should all just write "I Invoke The Geitner/Rangel Rule" on our tax forms and send them to the IRS. Don't it just burn your butt that these politicians and political appointees are not subject to the same laws and penalties that the rest of us are? If you were subject to the same allegations as Rangel the IRS would already have frozen you assets and you would be penniless and facing huge fines and maybe jail time. If the Bush tax cuts are allowed to expire in the middle of this massive recession, just wait and see what happens. It's almost worth the short term pain to end the democrat rule for the next four decades.
He claimed he won't raise your taxes..but if he lets these tax cuts expire, it will be the largest tax hike in history.
