Race colors administration's actions

  • Follow Letters

During the election of November 2008, several members of the New Black Panther Party positioned themselves at a polling place in Philadelphia.

Dressed in military-style garb, they carried clubs and intimidated voters, causing some to leave without voting. They did not contest the charges earned by their actions, and were convicted by default under the Voting Rights Act.

The case, having been won, was then closed when the Department of Justice suddenly dropped the charges.

Former DOJ lawyer J. Christian Adams reveals that the White House and DOJ were pressured by the NAACP and the Congressional Black Caucus to dismiss this case, and further, lawyers were told by DOJ that at no time would legal actions be taken against any black defendant by the DOJ. Some of the DOJ lawyers resigned in protest.

Of course, some have questioned the veracity of this witness, but the U.S. Civil Rights Commission finds enough credibility there to investigate the case and will do so.

Malik Zulu Shabazz, the leader of the New Black Panther Party, is known for his speeches in which he openly advocates the killing of white people, the police and even white babies. This is racist hate speech at its worst!

Attorney General Eric Holder, with his own racist attitudes and the inherent power of his office, is probably the most dangerous member of the Obama administration other than Obama himself.

Those fellow travelers and true believers who would set their hair on fire for the Obama administration will no doubt work overtime to find plausible explanations as to why the dismissal of this case was correct and we are just too ignorant to understand, and/or it is all a right-wing conspiracy, and/or someone else is to blame anyway!

Race colors this administrations actions? Really? I'd never have guessed. Next you're going to tell me this president was issued a one of a kind "birth certificate" from a now defunct Hawaiian agency. You right wingers must really hate this president.

History will not be kind to

History will not be kind to this administration. It is filled with socialists, communists, tax cheats, racists, non private-market experienced staff & progressives whose aim is to:

*increase government control
*convert our mindset from the individual to the "collective"
*redistribute wealth in order to pay-off their buddies, shore-up their consituency and provide reparations (for slaves LONG dead)

They must be stopped and November is our first chance.

Does the truth even matter to

Does the truth even matter to you guys? This guy Shabazz is a sad fool being exploited by racebhaiters. First, it was the Bush Justice Dept. who chose note pursue this matter any further, long before Mr. Holder was even the AG.Why don't mention the young black guy killed in SC and his body dragged eleven miles. You guys can't talk about anyone.

There's a big problem with

There's a big problem with Mr. Smock's reasoning (as always).

The case against the Black Panthers was dismissed in 2008, as he admits.

It was the Bush administration that dismissed the case.

Eric Holder and President Obama didn't have anything to do with it.

Oops!

Folks, what rubbbish! This

Folks, what rubbbish! This most magnificent administration searches and finds ways to help us all equitably. No racism owns it whatsoever!
Glenn the Wreck,Coulter-geist, Rushbo and Hannity the Idiot ever strive to besmirch Pres. Obama, but most Americans like him, albeit not all his policies. But next year , more should approve of his policies.
Why? They are working!
The Goofy Old Party had better change its tune or Americans will become quite disillussioned with it as they note the GOP gloats on its failed policies. Supply-side economics burst the budget. So, the administration and for the near depression had to use demand-side economics. What good is supply when people lack jobs? And why baste the unemployed for gettting benefits with the lie that they just aren't looking for jobs when on the average there are three vacancies for everty five job-seekers? Why do the Republicannots proclaim that government aid leads to idleness when the facts state difrerently? Why malign the working or non-working who receive benefits?
The administration proposes to increase exports and why wouldn;t the Reblicannots approve better trade agreements, including a grander TAA- Trade Assitance Administration that McBush himself advocated??
McBush would have been a good vice-president for a Pres. John Kerry, a much admired hero back then but now has become a wing-nutWhy other than to pander to those he formerly goaded?
Now, actually, imports can lead to more jobs even more than exports as I fathom matters. We do need better agreements for all nations under the agreements. Why can't the Republicannots try to outdo the administration in getting those better agreements? Why are they so obstructionist rather than being more patriotic [Note, more patriotic ,not unpatriotic]?
Why can't we yes, we can Democrats not more enthusiastic, and why don't we let the administration know that we mean business? Why don't we illustrate that we are pro-business and pro-union together? Pro-business should not mean what the Republincanots mean by special privileges for the few!
And why should Arthur Laffer be considered a real economist when there are conservatieve economists who are considerately more sagacious? Why aren't there debates amongst Robert Reich, Paul Krugman and Mark Zandi [ supported McBush]?
And please, let discuss the issues without the bombast!

wow - You get up Saturday

wow - You get up Saturday morning and start right back on divided sides? One day every one of us will be called to account for "right" and "wrong", not black, white, sexuality, etc. By the time our brains have fully developed at 21 there is NO excuse not to stand for what is "right". It is NEVER right to intimidate voters nor even loiter at the polls. Just deal with the facts regardless of who it was breaking the law.

Mr. Kegbrat, 'The case

Mr. Kegbrat, 'The case against the Black Panthers was dismissed in 2008, as he admits.’
You can lie but you can’t hide from the truth! But you are a typical DUMocrat; tell a lie often enough and some people will believe it.
The three black panthers, Minister King Samir Shabazz, Malik Zulu Shabazz and Jerry Jackson were charged in a civil complaint in the final days of the Bush administration with violating the voter rights act by using coercion, threats and intimidation. Shabazz allegedly held a nightstick or baton that prosecutors said he pointed at people and menacingly tapped it. Prosecutors also say he "supports racially motivated violence against non-blacks and Jews."
The Obama administration won the case last month, BUT MOVED TO DISMISS THE CHARGES ON MAY 15.

I cannot help but wonder why

I cannot help but wonder why more people haven't said anything about the "African American" president's choice of identification - as you label him. He has a genealogical heritage of at least half Caucasian and yet only identifies with blacks - ever. What's up with that??

The more the anti obama crowd

The more the anti obama crowd yells about his ethnicity, the more they show their true agenda. By the way, Obama doesn't declare himself to be black or white. It's possible that the ultra conservatives are driven more by him being multiracial (it's a siiin to maaary outside your race - been told it a zillion times) than by his blackness.

Lynn - hilarious post

Richmond County Resident I,

Richmond County Resident I, yes, indeed! Another falsehood is that the administration wouldn't wave the Jones Ct,but that act only applies to commerce! The administration is obtaining help from other countries!
Sir, the Reactionaries are still putting out falsehoods about FDR's administration about the effects of the magnificent New Deal!
Ah, the president is a proud Afro-Euro president! Note how just some DNA causes some people to call others black Actually, a case could be made that just some DNA makes one white! We have a continuum of colors. We can and should miscegenate!
I defended the Supreme Court's decision to outlaw laws against marrying amongst races.
I have no southern white liberal guilt whatsoever but believe in fairness.
I'm a patriot! So is McBush.
Resident, but did you agree with its thrust?
