We likely all will pay in Arizona case

  • Follow Letters

Do you support the action of the United States of America in suing the state of Arizona, or do you support Arizona in defending the lawsuit?

I vote for Arizona, and have sent a financial contribution to the Arizona state treasurer for that purpose. If you support President Omaha's lawsuit, send a check to the Treasury of the United States. Oh! I forgot we are already paying for that.

Just think -- the Arizona taxpayers are paying for both.

There was special on today

There was special on today showing how the radical muslins are going to Venezuela and then are planning to come into the US through Mexico. Obama’ buddy Hugo Chavez is supporting it.

With the endless moratoria

With the endless moratoria put out by obama concerning the drilling for oil and the , so far, overturning of them, I think it's clear that obama will pursue his agenda regardless of what the law and courts have to say.
He's been instructed to sue Arizona and that's what he going to do until the House of Representatives cuts off financing for his silly actions. This won't happen until the new congress takes office. Look for silly and "hate America" actions to pour out of the white house and congress all the way to January.
We'll spend generations paying for this diversity mistake.

For 190 yrs those citizens
Unpublished

For 190 yrs those citizens from African decent worked, slaved, died, and paid taxes, but had every freedom denied to them. They fought in every war since the Revolutionary War and even fought in WWII to liberate others, while not having the right to vote in their own country. So if the LTE writer failed History, then the Feds at DOJ will again demonstrate why its called "United" States. Arizona will soon find that out too.

Boycott AZ for enforcing

Boycott AZ for enforcing federal law? Please explain why you expect them to enforce OTHER federal laws, but not federal immigration law?

Let's say that AZ loses the law suit, but refuses to stop enforcing the law? What will the Feds do? Send in troops and force them to NOT arrest illegal immigrants? How stupid will THAT look?

Why isn't Obama suing

Why isn't Obama suing sanctuary cities? Aren't they violating the law and over riding federal policies. Holder is an idiot and this case will go no where while Obama will file legal challange after legal challange!

Prezbojangles and Eric Holder

Prezbojangles and Eric Holder should be held responsible for this act of treason..............oh yeah, that's right...........they will be held accountable in November 2010 when the obamazombies get their bus ticket out of town, and in November 2012 when the incompetent yet arrogant empty suit community organizer gets his walking papers out of town and into memory as the marxist who tried to destroy America. Maybe then, he can find more time for vacations and golf outings

I support Arizona. Holder

I support Arizona. Holder should be using our tax money to put the terrorists at Gitmo on trial, but instead we are using our taxpayer money and time to sue Arizona for enforcing the federal immigration law. Doesn't make sense.

Sorry Justus, but U.S. citizens of African descent were granted the right to vote before WWII started.

Ah, if only justus4 was as smart as he thinks..He must think that they got that right under LBJ and Lady bird. They did a lot to destroy this country, but dumbobama is adding to it. So many socialist programs enacted during the Johnson debacle, but he never travelled in foreign countries to debase our country. I am certainly with AZ. We should strive to get back to the provisions of the constitution and all states demand and receive more rights.

Yes Mr. Hagler, just as in

Yes Mr. Hagler, just as in the dogged persistance of the Justice Dept, in persuing the misguided offshore drilling ban, they will indeed take their case against AZ 1070 all the way to the SCOTUS. However, imho, they are in for a rude reception, which in a way is poetic justice, when you remember back to uncle's SOTU address. He took exception to the then recent ruling by the SCOTUS concerning campaign funding, and grabbed the opportunity to publically berate their decision, on the floor of congress, on television, while the entire Democratic section stood and cheered. All the while, the seated members of the SCOTUS, sat in their black robes, and had to endure this unprecedented and pathetic public flogging, and aside from shaking their heads, they are bound by tradition not to respond. I am sure that the members of the court have not forgotten that incident, and imho, while they will never admit it publically, they are just delighted to have an opportunity to give uncle his reward for his shameless act that day. It will be interesting to watch, as if in the end it all comes down to rulings by the SCOTUS on immigration, offshore drilling, health care legislation, etc, then uncle may indeed learn a painful lesson in leadership. That lesson is, never embarass or humiliate in public, those that one day may hold your success in the palm of their hands.

JUSTUS, you might want to do
Unpublished

JUSTUS, you might want to do some research before playing the race card in this case. The 15th amendment to the constitution, passed in 1869, prohibited anyone, including Americans of African descent, from being denied the right to vote. The first AA to vote was Thomas Mundy Peterson, who voted in a local schoolboard election March 31, 1870 in Perth Amboy, NJ. Be a mensch and admit you were wrong. Come on, it will make you feel better.
