Send Hixon to state House

  • Follow Letters

For the South Carolina House of Representatives District 83 seat, I support Bill Hixon, who is part of our working-class community.

As a longtime businessman, he understands the need to limit government spending. Bill supports local economic development, and is currently working with the Economic Development Partnership for Aiken and Edgefield counties. Bill is an avid supporter of education, and he continues to maintain that there should be accountability in education spending.

When I was first introduced to Bill, he was a high-school student, working part-time for his spending money, and working as a volunteer fireman with the city of North Augusta. Bill continually proves that he loves his community and is willing to do what is necessary to improve it.

Bill has never failed to give back to his community. This has led to his being one of North Augusta's most valuable leaders. Bill always stands ready to listen and lend a helping hand to any person who needs his help, with no request being too small or large.

When you go to the polls to vote, remember who is going to work the hardest for you, keep your taxes as low as possible and provide results at the end of four years. That person is Bill Hixon, the most qualified candidate for the House District 83 seat. Every vote counts, and all votes are needed. I urge each of you to vote June 8.

Bill Butler

North Augusta, S.C.
