Conservatives fundamentally dishonest

  • Follow Letters

Conservatives and those with a similar mind-set are dishonest. They masterfully misrepresent. What they represent outwardly is not who they are inwardly.

They use their railings against government taxes, entitlements and programs as a subterfuge for their hatred against people of color and the less fortunate, and not the misguided people of color who claim to be conservative. That is why the Electronic Benefit Transfer card-carrier is the conservatives' favorite whipping boy. However, in reality conservatives love government so long as it is aiding their selfish agenda.

Conservatives are the first in line to reap the benefits from every government tax break, entitlement or program. Next, children of conservatives are the majority beneficiaries of government-sponsored HOPE Scholarships. Furthermore, conservatives love to take advantage of the poor and less fortunate with the aid of government. They represent the majority of government-licensed pawn shops, predatory payday lenders and businesses who charge exorbitant interest on loans.

Conservative religious organizations are no exception. They are mute when it comes to their government-sanctioned, tax-exempt status. Their God is gold, and their Jesus heals and performs miracles for a monetary price. They know their religious racketeering will never be challenged by the government they love to hate.

Minus the patriotic rhetoric, conservatism is just another example of the pot calling the kettle black.

Just like Rush Limbaugh

Just like Rush Limbaugh thinks that the Gulf oil platform was blown up by hippie Greenpeace frogmen (who were liberal Navy seals), I think that ACES may have developed a Kevin Palmer pseudonym to put out this liberal letter to get the local CSRA neocons all riled up. Who knows what subterfuge is going on today. I really don't believe that all conservatives are like this or I would not be a "left of center" independent. These kind of letters on both sides serve nothing more to show that this behavior is unAmerican.

slippery 25 @ 9:20 A.M. "Where the line I can get in for a tax break!"
Forget the tax breaks slippery 25, I want to know where the line is so I can register for free Obama care! Since that thing's a law now, can someone tell me how much better their healthcare is now? I mean, why wait until 2014? We will start paying for it now, why not get it now? If your parents are being denied heath coverage for preexisting conditions, age, or they're just plain poor, then they deserve coverage now! Isn't that what the liberal argument was with all the bleeding heart stories? Go out and demand your free "0"care NOW!

If you want to see racism

If you want to see racism look at the blacks. Black are by far more racist than whites. Once a black person is made a supervisor they hire only blacks. A good example is Atlanta airport. I notice awhile back that there were almost 100% blacks working there. In the last couple of months I was through there twice and I count the people working in the concourse by race. The first time I counted 63 workers, 60 black and 3 white. The second time I counted 111 workers, long layover, 100 black, 10 white and 1 Hispanic(I think). If there was any place with this % of whites the NCAAP would be raising hell about racism but when blacks hire only blacks is called diversity.

Gees....come on folks!

Gees....come on folks! Everything I've read is exactly "the pot calling the kettle black!" Get a grip! Conservatives and liberals alike have people who are dishonest. Conservatives and liberals alike have racists within their ranks. Conservatives and liberals alike have people who rob the poor and give to themselves.

Consider all the people who came forward after Hurricane Katrina and claimed to be victims? Do you honestly believe that they are all of one group? Not a chance! Conservatives and liberals alike have people who sponge off the system.

Conservatives and liberals alike are HUMAN. Human beings are not perfect---no, not a one of them! Stop pointing the finger at each other.

Instead, find things that you both AGREE ON and work from there. For instance, we all agree that we have grown to depend on Social Security and Medicare. So now let us together see what we can do to keep it working for us.

I am an unabashed Tea Party Activist because I see government running amuck. It scares me to think that one day I won't have any money to live on because it is all being given to someone else who isn't willing to work for it. Are you saying that you are willing to work and then give your money away to someone who refuses to work? Of course not!

There ARE common goals in each group. We just see things in a different light. Focus on the positive; downplay the negative.

In all my 50 plus years, I don't think I have ever seen such polarization between parties. This, too, is scary. It smells of another civil war brewing and I do not like that idea at all.

The only things I've known

The only things I've known Conservatives to hate are: 1) gov't that takes their hard-earned money and gives it to able-bodied folks who refuse to work for a living; 2) gov't that says it is wrong to mistreat or abuse fellow human beings, but then upholds the "right" to murder almost-born children; 3) gov't that believes it has all the answers to all our nation's problems, but fails to realize that many times it is the gov't that IS the problem; 4) rants from liberals about all things Christian; 5) activist judges and politicians who interpret (i.e., disregard) the Constitution as the foundation of our republic; 6) gov't that has forgotten the definition of "illegal", and 7) lies from liberals about how Conservatives "hate" everyone that is not white and rich.

Mr. Palmer, with all due

Mr. Palmer, with all due respect sir, you are either deluded, ignorant, or worse, a die hard liberal. Your rant comes right out of the Barney Frank/Nancy Pelosi playbook, and your hatred shines through sir, despite you trying desperatly to disparage the other side. Your rhetoric is lame, tired, and pathetic. The truth sir, is that you and those that believe like you, have helped to create an entire class of people who do nothing but play the system and nurse from the government teat. You only have to look at what is happening in Greece today to see our future, when our financial situation finally makes all the freebies unaffordable. Then you, and your bleeding heart will be right there rioting in the streets for something you never deserved in the first place. Rant on sir, as your words are falling on deaf ears, and when that day finally comes, you will be right there blaming us for every bad thing that has ever happened to you, because of course, you will always be the victim, right? Horsefeathers!

Well, Kevin Palmer, it does

Well, Kevin Palmer, it does appear that in YOUR liberal mind you are incapable of viewing opposing views as anything but racism--therefore, you have a rather stunted out-look on life and cannot reach beyond your tiny little mind and the mirage that liberalism is so good for the masses. Listen fella, you can keep your inane, socialistic, racist views to yourself--as a conservative, I'll champion the goodness of the Americans who believe in our hard fought for freedoms----and by the way, just remember, folks like my dad and brother, uncles, cousins, friends lived and died just so the likes of you could enjoy the very freedoms you trample upon today.

I say, Mr. Palmer, are you a

I say, Mr. Palmer, are you a "fundamental" liberal? Have you checked your leaders on their own honesty? Let's start with Ms. Pelosi! Just how honest to you think she is in swinging some funds to her husbands business, so they can make gazillions of big bucks? How honest was it when Jack Murpha swung gazillions in earmarks to build a gigantic air terminal in the middle of nowhere? Last and certainly not least, how honest is your President, who refuses to divulge his own true birth records? Methinks you should use both hands and fingers to type in your search engine, and do a little bit of research, before you start accusing any political party of "fundamental dishonesty." When you finally learn the truth, don't be embarrassed to admit it. It will make you a "fundamentally honest" person!

Never even gave that a second

Never even gave that a second thought, but you're absolutely correct, KSL! To be sure, there are more questions than answers. My question is, why has he NEVER addressed these issues? Maybe he thinks that if he is disgraced, he'll lose his benefits. Maybe he's not smart enough to know, that if he only spends one day as President, he still gets the bennies! We'll never know until a real challenge is made!

The silence surrounding the

The silence surrounding the stranger in the WH is absolutely deafning. We know virtually nothing about him, and what little was available from the usual sources, IE: his college papers, writings, passports, etc...have all been secluded from public investigation. Never, in our history, have we known so little about someone's life before he took the highest office in the land. Who supported him in the beginning? Who did he associate with? What did he learn, and from whom? He must have learned something from Jerimiah Wright in 20 years, right? Imho, history will look back on this time as the greatest fraud ever perpetuated on the American people, and when everything hidden, finally sees the light of day, we will all be amazed, and be asking the same question...how could this happen?

Sounds like Mr. Kevin Palmer

Sounds like Mr. Kevin Palmer is an angry spokesman for the minority. And he's made some points that trouble minority people. Only a few minority people even bother to post on the Augusta Chronicle website. Wonder why?

But you're not paying attention if you haven't noticed a lot of people are angry in the country today. More than just the loud mouth conservatives pining "gimme my country back." Prolife people are angry, Anti-war people are angry and conservation people are angry too.

I'll leave it hanging there and let somebody say. What the world needs now is a good ol' fashion Anglo-Saxon, God fearing, fiscal conservative from down South with a country brogue and likes chitlins.

No, just someone who is not

No, just someone who is not out to redistribute the wealth and bankrupt our nation, keeps their promises, is not in bed with the unions, is not a radical idealogue, and has a track record for solving tough problems without massive new legislation or entitlement programs. Ahhh...but where is there such a man....sigh... Even I would vote for such a man....but lacking one, anyone on the other side will do.

TheFederalist - You're a

TheFederalist - You're a little late complaining about redistributing the wealth. It's a fait accompli. The upper income brackets have reaped it.

Since 1980, median real household income has risen less than 15 percent. The only period of strong middle-class income growth during this time came in the mid- and late 1990s, which by coincidence was also the one time when taxes on the affluent were rising.

For most of the last three decades, tax rates for the wealthy have been falling, while their pretax pay has been rising rapidly. Real incomes at the 99.99th percentile have jumped more than 300 percent since 1980. At the 99th percentile — about $300,000 today — real pay has roughly doubled.

I was referring to taking

I was referring to taking even more of what little us average guys have, and giving it to those who don't do anything productive. Besides, how much meaning do you think your figures will have once Uncle Hussein has his way, and is successful in ramming cap & tax down our collective throats on top of HCR? We already have a national debt of over 12 TRILLION, and over 100 TRILLION more in unfunded liabilities to pay over the next 10 years, and even if we could pay these off, which we can't, cap & tax will put the final nail in our financial coffin. We will end up much like Greece, with the have nots rioting in the streets for hand outs they never deserved. Oh, btw, taxing the hell out of those evil rich guys won't even dent the reality of how much our country really is in the tank for, but the painful truth will soon become very plain for all to see. I was amused today to see that the IMF is planning to bail out Greece, and who do you think has a 17% share of every dollar they hand out? Yep, you guessed it.

TheFederalist - You just

TheFederalist - You just poured out a trash bag of problems but I'll try to respond to a couple. America has no choice but to reduce atmospheric emissions, from vehicles, industry and power plants. Call it whatever you like. Don't know how it works but Europe already has cap and trade system for carbon emissions and I believe Japan is following suit. One political party in Britain claims the country can totally eliminate carbon emissions by 2050. We have to get in gear ourselves and start weaning our dependence on fossil fuels. Can't totally eliminate them but we can make big reductions.

American healthcare is a big problem any way you look at it. The recent healthcare bill is costly but on the other hand, doing nothing is costly too. The Government pays for Medicare, Medicaid and TriCare. Reports say by 2012, half of all the medical bills in America will be Medicare, Medicaid and TriCare and the government will be paying. Doctors and hospital already treat the insured and the uninsured alike. And they're just passing the cost to the insured customers and the government. So what do you expect? The guy that's got the money is going to pay of course!

Well, someone else that has

Well, someone else that has bought into the largest fraud that will ever be perpetuated on the USA, and all in the name of the proven myth of global warming. What nonesense. Why not do a little research, and like always, follow the money. Joyce Foundation, Emerald Cities, Apollo Foundation, The Chicago Climate Exchange, and just how these groups are intertwined and just waiting for the cap & tax legislation to pass to begin the fraud in earnest. Even the very notion that we can eliminate those evil carbon emissions is the biggest lunacy of our century. I am not even going to address the HCR issue, which has NEVER been about health care, but solely about massive, unprecedented expansion of the government. Yes, they most certainly will go after those that have the money....you and I. Wait for it.......
