Conservatives fundamentally dishonest

  • Follow Letters

Conservatives and those with a similar mind-set are dishonest. They masterfully misrepresent. What they represent outwardly is not who they are inwardly.

They use their railings against government taxes, entitlements and programs as a subterfuge for their hatred against people of color and the less fortunate, and not the misguided people of color who claim to be conservative. That is why the Electronic Benefit Transfer card-carrier is the conservatives' favorite whipping boy. However, in reality conservatives love government so long as it is aiding their selfish agenda.

Conservatives are the first in line to reap the benefits from every government tax break, entitlement or program. Next, children of conservatives are the majority beneficiaries of government-sponsored HOPE Scholarships. Furthermore, conservatives love to take advantage of the poor and less fortunate with the aid of government. They represent the majority of government-licensed pawn shops, predatory payday lenders and businesses who charge exorbitant interest on loans.

Conservative religious organizations are no exception. They are mute when it comes to their government-sanctioned, tax-exempt status. Their God is gold, and their Jesus heals and performs miracles for a monetary price. They know their religious racketeering will never be challenged by the government they love to hate.

Minus the patriotic rhetoric, conservatism is just another example of the pot calling the kettle black.

Kevin Palmer

This liberal rant is about as

This liberal rant is about as misguided and ill-conceived as the conservative rant from yesterday. They both make a few good points but most of it is just hysterical jibberish lacking much in the way of factual statistics though the tax-exempt status of churches really is just an absurdity. The pawn shops and payday lenders wouldn't be in business if not for the consumer demand for their services. Embrace some personal responsibility.

I do find it oh so hypocritical that so many so-called fiscal conservatives and Tea Partiers have absolutely no desire to even reform much less phase out the the ponzi schemes of Medicare and SS. They are a combined $107 TRILLION underfunded yet the hypocrites don't see a problem with them. It is all about selfish greed. So few are willing to make any sacrifice for the betterment of America.

Palmer the above is pathetic

Palmer the above is pathetic in its ignorance.

You say: "Next, children of conservatives are the majority beneficiaries of government-sponsored HOPE Scholarships." Perhaps that is because the children of conservatives are more intelligent than the children of people like you.

You also falsely drag up the race card because you really have no defense for your philosophy; it is straight out of the pit. Furthermore, your ignorance of Christianity is also indicative of your lack of knowledge. Go back to school Palmer. Perhaps you can skip 4&5 kindergarten.

This letter is an excellent

This letter is an excellent display of the mindset of liberals who now openly disparage capitalism and rewarding those who achieve. It's all about income redistribution. Thanks, Mr. Palmer for laying it out.

Yup, that about sums it up.

Yup, that about sums it up. Is it any wonder why ACES refrain from posting letters by liberals. So much emotion Mr. Palmer, now run along and buy another pack of Newports with your Obama stash while the rest of the conservatives, capitalists, and I put in our honest 60!

Misrepresent? This letter is

Misrepresent? This letter is a complete misrepresentation and very far from the honesty he seeks of others.

Conservatives are the first in line for tax breaks (that may be true since they are the ones paying taxes) instead of receiving tax credits without paying anything into the system at all - even that being true, they still pay the majority of the taxes.

Conservatives could care less what color skin a person has unlike yourslef or many liberals who continually discuss everything in race terms when it benefits them. First, more white people are on government assistance that any other race and true conservatives do not believe in government social programs for able bodied Americans as that is what family, church, friends and charitable organizations are for, not the governmnent. The government has NOTHING to give that it doesn't TAKE from someone else.

Liberals instead like to enslave individuals of all races to them and the government through entitlement programs that hold them down and keep them back.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool instead of writing a letter such as this and remove all doubt.

The letter is the epitome of

The letter is the epitome of liberal ignorance. Thank you ACES for printing what must be the norm of liberal ranters to LTE. The letter is typical, many accusations leveled at conservatives without facts and numbers to back up assertions.

You know, as the old adage goes, liberals argue from emotion, conservatives argue from facts. This LTE contained no facts, only emotions. Thank you again ACES for reminding us of the leftist emotional tactics.

Don't waste time refuting what the LTE writer claimed. The publication of it was a way to show liberal ignorance at its best.

Wow! Great letter! And the
Unpublished

Wow! Great letter! And the part about conservatives taking advantage of governmental handouts is terribly accurate and only scratches the surface. For example, all farmers are being paided huge subsidies from the Dept. of Agriculture which is actually a black hole that few people know about. Another fact is that politicians get rich yapping about "small government" while stuffing their pockets, their spouses pockets, their family's pockets, their relatives pockets and no one says a thing. Again, a good letter that points out the truth about a political party that is going the way of the Whigs.

Lets see-the liberal Obama

Lets see-the liberal Obama promised open government, that is a lie the health care bill is an good example, it was fashioned by Pelosi and Reid and we could find out what's in it when it becomes law! Obama promised he would close Gitmo in a year- another lie and on it goes-and this guy thinks conservatives lie? LOL If minority student's parents would invest time in their education HOPE would be more evenly distributed! Please look up Dr Ben Carson for an excellent example of what A CARING parent can do and produce! Another liberal pity party for the poor paid for at tax payers expense..

Hey KEVIN, what flavor is
Unpublished

Hey KEVIN, what flavor is that Kool-Aid you're drinking? You might want to take the blinders off. And JUSTUS, let me ask you this. Obammy said that he's not opposed to making money, but "at some point, I think you've made enough." He made 5 million $ last year. At what point do you think he's made enough? And while you're railing about politicians lining their pockets, let's not forget that YOUR PARTY, DEMOCRATS, are in charge of congress now, which explains why our national debt has doubled since 2007. CARCRAFT, great post. Let me add another point. Liberals love to spend for the "poor and needy," as long as the taxpayers are footing the bill. But, as former UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher once said, "The problem with liberalism is eventually you run out of other people's money."

This LTE is a perfect example

This LTE is a perfect example of the liberal myrmidon mindset. No thinking necessary. "Marching Morons" has come to life. Thank you for printing this letter. While it's exactly the same mindset of every liberal letter ever printed, it's written on a level that makes the "brilliance" of the liberal philosophy obvious. Shouldn't this letter end with ....HELLO HELLO HELLO

This letter is typical of

This letter is typical of every letter Kevin Palmer writes. He and others who are like minded are filled with hate and generalization. Mr. Palmer belongs to the same mindset as grouse, Justus4, whyisit, JRHC and others who would rather spread hatred and name calling than be factual. They are predictable. Certainly they must realize people see them as nothing more than bitter.

I congratulate you Mr. Palmer

I congratulate you Mr. Palmer for authoring this piece of hilarious fiction! You managed to include almost every current bit of paranoid rumor, drivel and spin that the left has running right now, all that I see missing is that everything is still all Bush's fault.

I can't wait for you to submit the next chapter in your fantasy story. Anyway, thanks for the good laugh and be assured that your letter will be forwarded to everybody in my email listing as I'm sure that they would not want to miss out on your humorous perspectives...

No doubt which class of Democrat wrote this letter. It definitely wasn't one of the the high class pseudo-intellectual Marxist Socialist Democrats who do the party's thinking. So it must have been one of the core Democrat wards of the party. Ummm wait a minute. I see Mr. Palmer lives in Martinez. Maybe he is one of the high class pseudo-intellectuals and his thinking represents the best the Democrat party has to offer. Oh well, let me go say my prayers to my golden idol and go open up the pawn shop.

Kevin Palmer is not a

Kevin Palmer is not a liberal. He is just plain bizarre.

If "conservative" means having the desire and ambition and decency to work hard and go to college and educate myself- something I guess he lacks- hey, I wear that name proudly!

It's going to college and raising my earning power that enabled me to pay more taxes- to subsidize the sorry ones that wouldn't do what I did.

I guess today I'm a conservative.

But in regards to this- "Furthermore, conservatives love to take advantage of the poor and less fortunate with the aid of government. They represent the majority of government-licensed pawn shops, predatory payday lenders and businesses who charge exorbitant interest on loans."

Whoa, Nellie, somebody's in outer space!

Just a typical liberal

Just a typical liberal bed-wetter with a very bad attitude. What a sad individual. Lets pick apart a couple of items.

1. "Hope scholarship" - it's lottery funded. Not government funded.
2. "Hatred of those less fortunate". Absurd. Laughable.
3. "Conservatives are the first in line to reap the benefits from every government tax break, entitlement or program" Which ones would those be Mr. Palmer? Conveniently you forgot to include some specifics.
4. "They represent the majority of government-licensed pawn shops, predatory payday lenders and businesses who charge exorbitant interest on loans" Lets see the stats on this one. Certainly it is your opinion but I'd like to see your back up data to this statement.

This is the funniest letter I've read in a very long time, thanks for the fiction and the super great laugh Mr. Palmer. Good luck with your political "agenda" and you poor outlook on life. Now go pay your taxes like a good boy.

If the LTE has Kevin Palmers
Unpublished

If the LTE has Kevin Palmers name attached to the bottom, that's a good sign to just pass on reading it unless of course you just like punishing yourself. Palmer, is just a typical dyed in the wool liberal who never saw a government entitlement program he didn't feel like he and others of his ilk didnt earn simply by being born the way they were. Fortunately, there are still enough hard working conservatives out there to fund these entitlement programs, but at the rate Obamanation is going that pot of gold may soon run short.
In the meantime, if it makes Kevin Palmer joyous to see his lunacy printing in the evil conservative Augusta Chronicle pages I guess that's his right and he should thank the Chronicle for giving him the platform. My guess is he couldn't get published in any other medium, conservative or otherwise.
