Obama's record a laundry list of outrage

  • Follow Letters

What is it that we wrought upon ourselves through our naïvete at the polls in 2008? We were apparently so dissatisfied with Bush policies and so bent on "change" for its own sake that we lost sight of logic and reality, and elected a man and a Congress dedicated to the socialization of our country and irrelevance of our Constitution.

In little more than a year President Obama has compiled an envious record of achievements (if you're cheerleading for the other guys):

- bailout of banks "too big to fail";

- bailout and sellout of the auto industry to the United Auto Workers;

- a $787 billion "stimulus" that has largely failed to produce non-government jobs;

- appointment of 30-some "czars," some with questionable backgrounds and without congressional vetting, to run oversight functions resulting from further expansion of government's umbrella;

- favoring the decision to try 9-11 terrorist detainees in civilian courts in U.S. sovereign territory, imposing huge security costs as well as providing a platform for their anti-American rhetoric;

- bowing in subservience to foreign leaders;

- apologizing to foreign leaders for America's role as "perpetrator" of much of the world's strife;

- stating that America is no longer "a Christian nation";

- forcing Obamacare down the throats of a dissenting majority of the electorate, using bribery and funny math, to be paid for through tax increases and massive Medicare cuts;

- straining our long strategic relationship with Israel in favor of closer ties with Muslim countries;

- pledging not to retaliate with nukes in the event of a chemical or biological attack on the United States by a foreign entity, so long as that entity is a signatory of the non-proliferation treaty;

- projecting a deficit of $1.5 trillion for 2010.

We ain't seen nothin' yet! Coming down the pike are bills to levy $800 billion in new taxes on carbon footprints (cap and trade); a value-added tax; and tax hikes for upper- and middle-class incomes and businesses. All this and massive deficits, too. ...

Let's start righting the ship this November and finish the job in 2012!

Please add to that list

Please add to that list Terrence, the very latest. President Obama will open the Flood-gates to Illegal Immigration, because he thinks that all of the illegal Latinos will vote for him. But I honestly do not think that President Obama realizes that legal Latinos who have made a good life for their families here in America are a proud, hard-working people, and they will resent President Obama's illegal strategy.

A Revolution is Brewing! Elect Representatives this November that will call for the Impeachment of President Obama.

Exactly, Grouse: it was the Bush administration that adopted to TARP program to bail out the big bank. Furthermore, odious though the bailouts are, the alternatives were worse.

@Why- the word "regime" was

@Why- the word "regime" was actually used frequently by the lame stream media and democrats against Bush once Nancy Pelosi and her Dems were in power so why is it an issue if Obama is now wearing the label? In addition those of you usual race/hate posters on here, why don't you make a point and bring facts forward to dispute what the LTE stated? That way you would actually look like you were doing more than just the usual copy/paste from every other post you make?

Once a community organizer,

Once a community organizer, always a community organizer. The voters who elected this incompetent yet arrogant muslim messiah were either drunk from his kool-aid snake oil, or not intelligent enough to know that all of his campaign promises were impossible to make happen. The kool-aid drinkers have now sobered up, and even the unintelligent voters have enough sense to be embarrassed by their actions which resulted in placing a clueless buffoon in the oval office. Yes, in November we will begin the purge of those traitors who followed the trail of mistakes with the community organizer, and in 2012 we will evict Prezbhojangles, and begin the reconstruction of all that he has destroyed in his one and only term as this country's glorified "community organizer".

And, may I add the most

And, may I add the most serious of all: He uses a teleprompter. Hello! Hello! and a TOOT TOOT! for his re-election if he turns the economy around. I don't think McCain and Palin could have done it. They would have still been trying to out maverick each other. Palin would have been too busy planning her daughter's wedding. Hello! and TOOT TOOT for the Obama train heading down the track for November and 2012. Hello! HEllo!

Obama is the epitome of the

Obama is the epitome of the result of a knee-jerk reaction and he is proof positive that, at any given time, the majority of American voters are not mentally capable of making a rational decision. We had a minor, cyclical blip in the economy brought on by bad government policies which affected the housing mortgage market. These policies were implemented years ago by former administrations and the results took years to come to fruition. And in typical American voter fashion they took their revenge on the current administration. Guess what, WRONG AGAIN American voter. So now you have installed a Communist regime that has ruined this country with it's deficit spending and set you up for the HUGE tax increases which will be required to pay for Obamacare and the other programs this Socialists are still trying to ram down your throats. I don't know what kind of administration will be in power in 4 years or 10 years, but when the taxes go up and your power bill goes up I just want you to remember to pin the tail on the correct donkey.....the Communist Democrat donkey that is in the White House today.

This pathetic excuse of a

This pathetic excuse of a President is a classic example of what happens when people vote for color and Party. The stoner generation combined with the Obamaites (ACORN maggots) who elected this idiot now are getting a dose of what happens when you try to play Abraham Lincoln. Can you imagine voting for a White Candidate who had no political experience other then being a community organizer or voting for a White Candidate who never managed a business or a payroll? Forget the fact that he was associated with radical America haters and lied several times during his campaign about his association; he was proven a liar before getting the White House. In the last year we can count the lies and come up with at least 50 that he has laid on the American people. In addition he has driven a stake between the 2 parties that is unprecedented and demeans the opposition by name calling and by belittling their cause peaceful or otherwise. He wants to appeal to the 50% he thinks he has and discounts half of America as anti-Obama. Now looking at his policies we know what we have to do in the midterm elections and again in 2012. He has to be sent back to Chicago and we need a President who will follow the will of all Americans and enforce the laws of the land not his personal agenda.

It is absolutely amazing to see what passes for news...The Tea party gathers and ever sign and action is scrutinezed for any implication of racism, hate or violance..yet the protests of Arizona's immigration law cops are pelted with cans and cups, reporters threatened and threats issued and according to America's "elitist lame stream press" it is OK..LOL

Way to much Faux News

Way to much Faux News kool-aid being drank by this group. Most americans would do well to turn off their TV's or atleast get an antennea and take local programming only. Then they could focus on what really counts, their own communities, not the whole wide world's in your face fear the 'man' propaganda. Fear based conjecture by the media, especially our local paper, brings out the fearbased comments that have little to do with reality and much to do with 'I, Me and My'. Everyone has a right to their 'own' opinion, but to promote propaganda from either side under the guise of being one's own opinion, is purile at least and undemocratic at best. Good Day to all...

Turn off Rush and Faux News!
Why turn off Rush, who has an accuracy rating of 99% or FOX, which is the most watched channel on T.V. wwith Glenn Beck second only to Oprah. However, it does take a little intellect to keep up with the brains of both Rush and Fox news. Perhaps that's why so many on the left get so irritated with both.

When Obama made that

When Obama made that statement, "I do think at a certain point you've made enough money", every working American, who strives to get ahead, should sit up and take notice. He has made other statements before that indicate he is a Socialist. At what point are people going to wake up? I work. It's MY money, Obama! IT IS MINE! How can any rationally thinking person think it's okay to punish people for making money? Only those that sit on their rears and wait with their hands out think otherwise. Atlas is shrugging.

Terp, I know a lot of young people. Mostly students and they ain't voting for Obumbler. He shoved Obumblecare down their throats when they neither needed it or can afford it while struggling to get through school. That $700 fine if you don't buy Obumblercare is a lot of money to any student or young working person.

Jack, I hope that young

Jack, I hope that young people bolster your spirits because you sound like you need more positive thoughts. Young people working will probably qualify for assistance in paying this $700 fee. If I was young, working and did not have an employer that provided medical care, then I would rather pay the premium than the fee anyway. Oh and I just watched President Obama deliver the commencement address at the University of Michigan, and he did such a great job with the speech, teleprompter or not. He is an excellent speaker. I voted for him in 2008, and I will more than likely vote for him again because right now I don't see any meaningful competitor who would make a better President right now, at least from the GOP.

I like Terrence's first sentence: "What is it that we wrought upon ourselves through our naïvete at the polls in 2008?" Like he voted for Obama! If the economy keeps turning around, the GOP doesn't have anybody who will come close to beating Obama in 2012.
