The truth is coming out on health care

  • Follow Letters

I believe in reaching across the aisle and thanking people when they provide a service.

Rep. John Dingell, D-Mich., regarding the health-care bill: "It takes a long time to do the necessary administration steps that have to be taken to put the legislation together to control the people."

Thank you, Rep. Dingell, for reminding us that the bill is less about health care and more about control of the taxpayer by the politicians. By 2016, the IRS will be the enforcers when they start checking our financial records on a monthly basis as required by the legislation.

On March 23, Al Sharpton said: "First of all, then we have to say the American public overwhelmingly voted for socialism when they elected President Obama."

Thank you, Al. We'll remember that the next time the media make fun of Republicans for noting Obama has surrounded himself with self-declared Marxists, and that he gives every impression that Marxism is his favorite philosophy.

On March 23, The New York Times published an article congratulating the president on the health-care legislation because it will redistribute the wealth. Thank you for reinforcing the Republican view that the health-care bill will redistribute the wealth, which is the very definition of Marxist Communism.

As Nikita Khrushchev is quoted as saying: "We can't expect the American people to jump from capitalism to communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of socialism, until they wake up one day to find that they have communism."

Well written Mary Betha. Of

Well written Mary Betha. Of course, the blindered left will ignore any and all facts, awaiting their marching orders issued from the PBS/CNN source. The current opinion that has been issued on the subject of your letter is that facts don't matter, the obamassiah will lead them from the desert and anything that implies personal responsibility and accountability for ones own actions is evil. The dumb masses are easily led.

The take back of our country from socialism has started. The millions who voted for Obama as a "novelty" are seeing what a terrible mistake they made. November lurks for the brazen fools in Washington. Pack your bags!

KSL? Jackfruitpaper's posts

KSL? Jackfruitpaper's posts have always jibed very nicely with the stated objectives of the "black power" movement. Not equality, but supremacy, by any and every means necessary. The exact equivalent of the KKK.

As to the TOPIC of this

As to the TOPIC of this story, many truths were discovered before the bill was passed. To the sadness of America, those discovering the truth were not members of either House of Convicts or reside in the Section 8 White House.

Shouldn't someone with

Shouldn't someone with authourity investigate potential laws and all possible outcomes of passage before inflicting them upon all American citizens?

This isn't just Obama's problem. This isn't just Congress' problem. This is a national disease, permeating every aspect of all of our lives.

Chess players will relate: when problem solving, or working to achieve any goal, one must not only make a plan to achieve success, but one is absolutely required to make a plan to overcome failure of primary plans. "What are you going to do if that doesn't work?"

Politicians, business leaders, educational leaders, etc have all become so smug, so sure they have the answers, they are unprepared when they fail. See also stimulus and effect on unemployment.

Rest In Peace, America. It was great while it lasted. I'm off to New Zealand.

The far left in this country

The far left in this country will never, ever change. They are willing to give up their freedom for security. They are willing to sell out their children and grandchildren's financial future so that they can be taken care of today. They are absolutely unwilling to admit that they might have made a mistake by putting this administration in power. Big government and big spending are the only solution to them. Security. Spread the wealth.

Never mind the fact that in less than 20 years time we will have double the amount of Americans on social security and medi-care. Who is going to pay for all of us? The government knows this is coming and they should be saving for the swell of retirees that is coming. But instead, they spend. And they spend at virtually double the rate of any previous administration in history. Healthcare is just another notch in their belt. Next....cap and trade, card check/union reform, vat tax, legalizing illegal immigrants. The printing presses in Washington DC are smoking from overuse.

You'd think by their childish behavior that we are not in a massive recession. But we are and the focus should be the economy. But, the dems are in the middle of the "perfect storm". An unstoppable majority in the House & Senate. They must deliver their agenda between now and November. After the November beating they are delivered at the polls watch for Obama to become more moderate to make him electable again.

This is a very selfish bunch of individuals.

Obama, Nancy Pelosi and their

Obama, Nancy Pelosi and their other cronies never really wanted this health care bill passed to help the American People, but only to prove they could pull this over on the People, which they have surely done.
How they must huddle in their little groups and laugh about how they stuck it to the American People! We are no longer a government of the people, but a government to the people. Let's pray that November brings us some relief from this madness and helps return some sanity to our government.

Those dog-gone Democrats.

Those dog-gone Democrats. They won't let the insurance companies cut off your coverage when you get too sick, nevermind if you're in the middle of your chemotherapy treatment. They won't let you be denied coverage if you have a pre-existing condition. They want to reign in ridiculous health care costs. They don't want 1/3 of what you're paying in premiums to go to ridiculous CEO bonuses for just doing their jobs. They are trying to plan for the influx of Primary Care Physicians that will be needed for Americans to embrace preventive care as opposed to not going to the doctor until you have 1 foot in the grave....I don't know how I'll stand it!

Things you don't hear about

Things you don't hear about on TV:

The health reform legislation passed in the House Sunday contains numerous provisions related to long-term care.

One of these provisions is the Community Living Assistance Services and Support (CLASS) Act, which was originally introduced by the late Senator Edward Kennedy. The CLASS Act will make long-term care insurance available to all Americans, who will be automatically enrolled with the choice to opt out.

Individuals will begin paying a premium immediately and, after five years, those with functional limitations have the option of receiving a cash benefit of around $50 a day that can be used to offset the cost of long-term care services.

What this means in small words: they are going to take this money from you starting immediately unless you go to your HR dept and "opt out" immediately. Estimates are monthly premiums of $140-$210 depending on how many people opt out.

The folks who fail to opt out, then realize later what happened, are the same folks who are facing foreclosure, most likely financial hardship, and supposedly beneficiaries of the HCR law. The ones who don't read the fine print.

Saw that report, Wyochuck!

Saw that report, Wyochuck! Interesting that the further away we get from the Prez signing of the HC bill, the more people are beginning to realize the damages it will do to the medical system, and patients. Full implimentation scheduled for 2014 may be only a memory by that time. If only those who support this bill would read it, they would see the disaster looming on the horizon. The problem with this debate is that too many have no real background knowledge of the full contents of the bill, yet they soundly support something they know very little, or nothing about. Sad!

Now that the Democrats have

Now that the Democrats have actually published the law that none of them had read when they voted on it, the CEOs of affected corporations are announcing the impact it will have on their businesses bottom line. They are required to do this by law to protect investors every since the Enron mess. At&T , for example, will take a $1 billion dollar hit on it's bottom line in the first quarter this year due to costs associated with this healthcare bill. When the CEOs announced how much this was going to cost their companies Congress acts like they have been hit by a 2x4. They are now summoning the CEOs to testify before Congress in an attempt to intimidate them and shut them up. They do not want the public to know that this Communist law is going to adversely impact businesses, cost jobs, and cause businesses to drop insurance and drug coverage for it's retirees and, in come cases, employees. Congressman Waxman is attempting to intimidate the CEOs into breaking the laws that Congress put on the books to protect stockholders after Enron by hiding the cost of this healthcare to the stockholders. Talk out of both sides of your mouths Democrats. The voting public has caught on to your lying tactics and now that the true stench of this bill is starting to waft up where everyone can smell it we are watching you digging and scratching like a cat covering up feces.

I keep wondering what we can

I keep wondering what we can do to protect ourselves from the government now that it has become tyrannical. Tea parties are good and voting chunks of Congress out might help, but how do we get rid of this monstrous load of excrement that's been plopped on top of us?

I don't think Obamination rises to the level of anti-Christ the way those right-wing militia paranoiacs seem to think. I just don't think he's much more than an empty suit being used by smarter, more powerful manipulators. But it's just bizarre and bewildering that he has been able to do what he's done so far, and with the watchdogs of democracy drooling over him in adoration instead of barking an alarm.

http://video.godlikeproductions.comvideoDossier2MP4?id=c366ca86a4329a2b7c3 as posted earlier on a different discussion, and it is definitely worth watching even though it takes almost 10 minutes.

dichotomy The increase in

dichotomy The increase in costs to the corporations is nothing more than a back door tax increase. They will just pass the cost on to the the consumers so the costs of most goods and services will be going up. Just what we need in a fragile economy.....

Khrushchev also said they

Khrushchev also said they would bury us from within--rather prophetic when you review what our elected officials have been doing for the past 20+ years. Both "parties" are at fault, but with the inept "president" we currently have it is rather chilling to see the prophecy come to fruition. The big O SAID he would "dismantle the Constitution" if elected (from his interview in San Francisco, Jan 2008) and he is doing it on a daily basis. Let's just hope the fools in Washington don't add to our problems before the elections in November...we all know they have an agenda to push through before then.
