Right-wingers hide behind patriotism

  • Follow Letters

Patriotism does not equal cowardice, yet it is certainly true that patriotism is the last refuge of the coward.

Was it not cowardly to attack that IRS building in the manner of pilot Joseph Stack III -- yet where was condemnation from conservative leaders? There was none, and there will be none. Conservative leaders cannot decry their own invention, the patriot coward, lest they dissuade another from a similar act. They seek intimidation of the general population, however it may be manifested. Those pathetic, sad, angry folks on the self-ordained conservative side of American politics are desperate for validation.

"Take our country back!" they scream. They spew more hatred in every direction. Like chained dogs, they growl and bark, yet their illusory world is vanishing. Yes, conservative leaders, it's a good plan. Keep your dogs barking; you can certainly scare up some campaign donations. Fortunately, for the rest of us, the base is shrinking.

Hey, let's have a beer summit and get the load on. Then perhaps we will all be a little happier and not so grumpy.

Facts mean nothing to the

Facts mean nothing to the endoctrinated Communist entitlement crowd. Their logic has been warped to beyond comprehension. For instance, they cannot see the irony of displaying a black power clenched fist to you while they are calling you a bitter racist. In their dillusional state that makes perfect sense but, quite frankly, seems a little hypocritical to me. Of course, this would be typical of those who have been spoiled by the "double standard" of what constitutes racism for the last 50 years. If you oppose Obama, if you dislike Rev. Wright, if you oppose entitlement programs, if you oppose the imposition of Communism on you and your family, then you are a racist. If you suport a strict interpretation of the Constitution, if you oppose the government taking money from you and your family to give to them, then you are a racist. The definition of racism must have changed. Or is it that the degree of desired government entitlement has changed? It doesn't really matter. The good thing that has come out of having Obama for a president is the visibility and exposure of just how fast and how bad things can get for the average working American when you elect a Communist regime and give them total power. I don't think it will ever happen again for a long long long long time.

If the things that were said

If the things that were said about President Bush were being said about Hussein the liberals would be rioting in streets. Burning cars and destroying their own towns.

Chris Matthews kept showing

Chris Matthews kept showing the black Congressman walking by those at the rally tonight. He was trying to say the Congressman was spit on when it wasn't the case. The protestor was shouting with both hands around his mouth at the Congressman with a policeman RIGHT there. Matthews drools and throws out more spittle every night on his show than that.

Matter of fact, we should get

Matter of fact, we should get close-up, super slow speed analysis of the protestor video and compare it to Matthews talking and see which one is increasing the humidity.

In it's recent heyday, the Republican Party assembled a national majority by winning over Southern white voters; Southern white voters are racist; therefore, the GOP is racist. Republicans are convicted of base opportunism. The GOP is willing to pander to racists. Today's Republican Party—and by extension the conservative movement at its heart—has revealed a corrupted soul.

VNVETERAN, you are somewhat
Unpublished

VNVETERAN, you are somewhat correct in saying that the Republicans depend on Southerners for support and votes. But all Southernors aren't racist. The Republicans do cater to Southern White People who are easy to be fooled and be divided from many other Americans..Welfare is used as a smokescreen to cover up for the big government Takers.
