When Rory McIlroy was a tyke, so the story goes, his favorite video wasn’t VeggieTales or Bob the Builder. It was a video on golf technique produced by six-time major winner Nick Faldo.

Faldo won his fourth major the day after his 35th birthday. McIlroy won his fourth – the PGA Championship – on Sunday at the tender age of 25, one of only four golfers in the past century to win four majors at that age or younger.

McIlroy pulled ahead of Phil Mickelson to card a 3-under-par 68.

The quality of play was superb, and the gracious sportsmanship was a pleasure to witness among the four who fought it out Sunday on a dramatic back nine – McIlroy, Mickelson, Ricky Fowler and Henrik Stenson.

McIlroy tied for eighth in last year’s Masters Tournament. We can’t wait for his visit to Augusta next April.
