Who's being extreme?

Principled conservatism yet again draws hair-trigger scorn

Here, apparently, is the world according to Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo:

If you want to protect the life of an unborn child, you’re “extreme.”

If you believe in protecting yourself with a gun you legally own, you’re “extreme.”

If you support traditional marriage between a man and a woman, you’re ‘“extreme.”

And he doesn’t want you in his state.

“Because if that’s who they are and they’re the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are,” the governor blustered last week.

Is Cuomo trying to outlaw conservatism?

Others who evidently want conservatives wiped off the map are content with trying to bully it away. In San Francisco, actress Maria Conchita Alonso fled the production of a play she was starring in after threats of boycotts and protests spewed forth – because of her support for a Republican gubernatorial candidate who is a Tea Partier and a founder of a Minuteman border-patrol chapter.

Cuomo’s ranting and a potential mob’s hair-trigger hysteria exposes who’s really acting “extreme” here.

Yet again, the left preaches tolerance and freedom of belief only if you plan on buying into liberal dogma.
