Bottom line

It’s another government bailout – except that this time, it’s the government asking the private sector to bail it out.

President Obama last week put the onus on insurance companies to make good on his own promise that you can keep your health insurance, saying he’d allow companies to offer Americans their old insurance policies back.

It was a nice sleight-of-hand by a desperate president, but also likely illegal and unconstitutional: How can a president unilaterally change a law like that – via a press conference? What chaos (and tyranny) would result from giving one man that much power – that he could change a law governing our health care system by the mere wave of his hand?

It was clear from his deer-in-the-headlights press conference Thursday that Mr. Obama – who’d never run anything substantial in his life before getting elected, but now is in charge of our massive health-care system – is pretty much making this up as he goes along.

What could possibly go wrong?

As Obama has said many times, the Constitution is too

restrictive in that it tells the government what it can't do rather than what it can do. Now, this is coming from a part time constitutional lecturer. ( I'd hated to have been in his class and think I was getting an education when in actuality I would have been getting a leftist indoctrination.) The Constitution means nothing to Obama as demonstrated by his numerous actions.

He like Hitler, Mao, and Stalin believes the ends justify the means.

As his hero Alinsky says in his book isolate and attack your enemies in order to divert attention from your true goals. That has been his MO many times since he has been elected and the no-information and low-information voters fall for it.

When President Obama got

When President Obama got elected I knew he was in over his head. The press covered for him, but to many people are losing their insurance and to many people are informing their Democratic congress members they don't like it. Tapes of Obama exist that indicate he was openly lying to the American people. Obama said in 2010 " 5% of the population will lose their insurance" Then he repeated for 32 times his lie " If you like your insurance you can keep it" and "If you like your Doctor you can keep him". The press simply can't cover this one up. Obama's fix is a very limp game of pin the blame. Instead of the BUCK STOPS HERE Obama is attempting to target and blame the insurance companies. The "FIX " Obama is attempting will last only one year, what then? Oh, the EMPLOYER MANDATES KICK IN" and up to 90 million people will lose their insurance with the same startling effect as reality sink in. With all the stupid voters out there this just might work! Now the bill which would allow you to keep your insurance will get killed by Reid and or Obama because it would cause the financial collapse of Obama care or blow a hugh hole in the deficit. This whole thing is a mess and you can thank the sleazy lying Democrats for this! Oh, before Obama decided to take this on 75% of Americans liked their health insurance (If the sleazy Democrats can lie to you why can't I? I just made that up)!!!!

the physician shall bow to the bureaucrat

the tired shall bow to the bureaucrat
the huddled masses shall bow to the bureaucrat
those yearning to be free shall bow to the bureaucrat
the bureaucrat shall be exalted
and tell the physician how much she shall earn
and tell the physician how much she shall work
and tell the physician when a patient is to live
and tell the physician when a patient is to die
oh, useful Odiots, you wretched refuse of our teaming shore
what you have wrought

All Good Posts so far....

It would be nice if the AC would print these comments beside the LTEs so others could see them. Many are worthy of a broader viewership. However, some are not, isn't that right Bod.....

Congress would be smart

to demand that it start over. The ACA has gone though so many illegal and unconstitutional changes, it does not represent what Congress voted for.

Scrap it

and start over.

Drag Him To Court

Unfortunately, you cannot sue the president. The only remedy is for the House of Representatives to impeach (i.e., indict) him and send the bill of impeachment over to the Senate to try him for unlawful acts contrary to the law passed by the Congress and signed by him.

Have you noticed how strangely silent our resident libs

have become since OzBama dropped the ball (Only the latest in a long series of fumbles.)? This time he dropped it in his own end zone.

Oh well, they'll be back as soon as they think the shame has worn thin enough.

In the meantime, they do have their precious thumbs down device to keep their presence known and their hopes alive.

That and the occasional letter writer who dares to bring religion into the discussion. That always gets their dander up.

Why Isn't It Bottom Line When Republicans Make Poor People Pay

More For Health Insurance?
The Republicans are the ones who blocked the public option which would let everyone get Medicare if they liked. The Republicans also following Bush too who created a law that Medicare can not negotiate with drug companies. This causes us to pay more than any other country in the world. They used to say under Regan that a " conservative is a liberal who got mugged," implying that one experience as a crime victim turns someone soft on crime" ( meaning someone believes in due process and in post- conviction rehabilitation when possible) into a rabid right - winger one every issue.

Darby 11/19/13 - 11:30 am
Almost NOTHING kissofdeath says in his post

is true or even makes a little sense.

Medicare DOES negotiate. They pay PENNIES on the dollar to healthcare providers. (kiss would apparently like it to be all free).

The saying about the definition of a conservative is just the EXACT OPPOSITE of what he says. " A conservative is a liberal who got mugged..." means that once a liberal becomes a victim, he is much less inclined to coddle and defend criminals.

Do liberals ever look at what they write and say?
