Bottom Line

They tried to make a big deal out of Mitt Romney talking about having had “binders” full of women job candidates while governor of Massachusetts. Really? That’s a gaffe? In what universe?

Meanwhile, Barack Obama, making the rounds on the late-night comedy shows yet again, said of those killed in the embassy in Libya, “If four Americans get killed, it’s not optimal.”

Not optimal? Isn’t that just a little detached and flip? Isn’t it a bit out of keeping with the situation? One of the deceased’s mothers thinks so, anyway: “My son is not very optimal - he is also very dead,” Pat Smith told a British paper.

What’s not optimal is the relatives of the four dead not getting answers.

And can you imagine if Romney had said what Obama said? There’d be so many outraged stories, they’d need
binders to keep them all in.

Romney is right when he said

Romney is right when he said the Obama campaign is shrinking, from big ideas like "hope and change" to "Big Bird" and "Binders of Women"! There is no plan for the deficit, no plan to reduce government spending, no plan for unemployment, just more regulations and more government!

Binders?

Can someone explain to me why "binders full of women candidate resumes" is some sort of verbal gaffe? I am serious about this question, why is that an issue?

I'm not gettin' it.

I think it is "not optimal" to keep Obama as president. His lack of concern for his own constituents is unacceptable, he needs to go.

Why the "binders" comment

Why the "binders" comment went viral. A. In the statement he exaggerated the actual number of jobs lost by women under Obama by a factor of 6. Most jobs lost by women were under Bush. B. He didn't create the binder, it was created by the group MassGAP. After he was elected, Romney refused to ever meet with the group.

Romney stretching the truth yet again. Lying, forgetting, and flip flopping have become the MO of the Romney campaign. At least Romney's created extra jobs for fact checkers.

"After he was elected, Romney refused to ever meet with the group."

Is that like skipping your intelligence briefings or meeting with your jobs council? Funny how it's only a problem with some people when a Republican does it.

As for Specta....what is it about speaking the truth that is ho-hum?

Another Word

How did Mr. Articulate ever come up with the word "optimal"? I cannot see how he, or anyone thought it a fitting word for the Libyan attack and murder of four of our own. If you think about it KSL, Obama is very likable to the uninformed and the ignorant(to Ignore). When I say ignorant, I am not saying it in a hateful way, I mean it in a Sad sense.

Binder issue

The two claimed "issues" by the left with the "binders" comment.

1. At first it was that he said "binder full of qualified women", not "binder full of resumes for qualified women".

If that wasn't pathetic and juvenile enough, they spun it into:

2. Romney was so far removed from women and their issues that he couldn't even come up with a woman's name for high level posts; he had to get someone else to come up with a binder of names.

Oh, really? So I suppose Obama (or any other president, governor, etc) didn't get recommendations for the thousands of appointments made to his administration?

They are really in a panic if this is the best they can come up with.

Bill O'Reilly tells Romney 'Bomb Iran and it's WWIII'
Unpublished

Romney has got to be held accountable on this! He's getting away with hidden tax returns and magic invisible underpants deductions, but we have to stop him from starting WWIII with his reckless foreign policy!
http://thedixiedove.com/
Romney Outsources Foreign Policy to Israel
Make no mistake about it, there is a terrifying and gigantic difference in Mitt Romney's position on Israel compared to every other US president in our history. All US president's, including Barack Obama have pledged to support Israel as our closest ally in the region, to defend Israel against all attacks, but only Mitt Romney has said, in essence, that Israel has his support for 'first strike' offensives and 'preemptive war' with Iran. Since we are committed to support Israel and we would inevitably be drawn into any conflict Israel is involved in, it has always been a rule of thumb from past US administrations and presidents that we would be directly involved with Israel on major decisions, especially for initiating violence outside their border. Mitt Romney sounds like the perfect neo-con president, far more-so than George W Bush. When the neo-con far right repeatedly demanded that he strike Iran's nuclear development facilities W walked softly and carried a big stick. For all his angry rhetoric he ignored the calls for war. Even in the months after Obama won the election, but before he was sworn in, Bush stood firm against Netanyahu and his Likud party and their counterparts in the US. Thank God. But as you can read in the New York Times excerpt and article below, Mitt Romney is willing to leave the decision to initiate a preemptive war with Iran, to Netanyahu. Even Bill O'Reilly has said 'That would mean WWIII'. This alone is plenty of reason for anyone to vote for President Obama, for US and world security.
.................................................
NYT-Jerusalem 7-29-12
And while President Obama and his aides always acknowledge Israel’s right to defend itself, they put an emphasis on sanctions and diplomacy; Dan Senor, Mr. Romney’s senior foreign policy aide, went further on Sunday, suggesting that Mr. Romney was ready to support a unilateral military strike by Israel.
“If Israel has to take action on its own,” Mr. Senor said in a briefing before the speech, “the governor would respect that decision.”
