Flynn needed to go!

Somehow, for some reason, I get the feeling Rick is not a Trump fan.

I may not agree with a lot of McKee's positions, by he is clearly an intelligent person.

The Ringling Brothers circus is shutting down soon after over a hundred years in existence. I guess they just couldn't compete with the Trump circus going on in Washington DC.
chas cushman 3 months ago
I agree, it is a circus but I will take the circus over the lying, America hating, race baiter that just left the WH. Obama's 'Dreams from My Father' was the hatred of Great Britain, the USA and white men.

No, they shut down because after eight years of OzBama, they knew they could NEVER top that freak show.

It is the end of an era.

And yet, Flynn, as far as we know, broke NO laws.  But he did withhold the details of his actions from his bosses.  For that alone, he deserved to get the axe.

Too bad, because it's a waste of real, useful talent.

Trump is still praising Flynn, and blaming intelligence leaks.

It wasn't withholding information from Pence that was the problem. Trump himself withheld that same information from Pence. It was the fact that due to the leaks, they got caught dealing with Russia under the table. This firing was damage control.

FACTS

Flynn did this under Obama's watch not Trump...
see the dates for yourself.

Flynn's communications with the Russian ambassador the day before the Obama administration imposed sanctions against Russia back on
Dec 2016.  ------- LONG before Donald Trump took the oath of office as president.

Flynn was part of the Obama National Sec team.

Flynn’s a lifelong Democrat.

Flynn was outspoken about to Obama / Hillary / Kerry government screw-ups, smokescreens, and censored information and fired before  was his scheduled retirement. After telling a Congressional Committee that "The American people are in more danger than we were just a few years ago.”

Trumps mistake in this resignation is, accepting a hold over from the Obama Administration.

You're a little fact-challenged here, Steven.

Flynn wasn't an Obama administration holdover. He retired in 2014, reportedly due to dissatisfaction in his management ability.

Trump himself hired Flynn as a campaign advisor in Feb. 2016.

He was a keynote speaker at the RNC, and he was considered for Trump's VP.

He was offered his Trump National Security Advisor position, again by Trump, in November 2016.

He was literally an employee of Trump, paid by his campaign, when the call to Russia occurred.

Facts are stubborn things.

In his response to Steven Jackson, Tommy G. FINALLY got one  right.

And he didn't even have to twist the truth the way he normally does.
William O. Darby 3 months ago
But then Steven was SO far off base that he made it easy for Tommy.

"Trump is still praising Flynn, and blaming intelligence leaks."
.
As for praising Flynn, that's what Trump should be doing. After all, he broke no law and committed no ethics infraction.

He did withhold information from his bosses and I'd have fired his butt for that too.

And followed it up with a pat on the back and maybe an invitation to come over for dinner on me.

"It wasn't withholding information from Pence that was the problem."
.
And once again, Tommy  demonstrates that he doesn't know what he doesn't know.

Here's my entire statement, Darby:

"It wasn't withholding information from Pence that was the problem. Trump himself withheld that same information from Pence."

Cut off the second sentence like you did and you get a nice little strawman to knock down. Not exactly honest, but hey, it's how you operate.

You folks out there have NO idea just how much fun there is to be had living rent free in Tommy G's head.

Somebody, I won't say who, doesn't know how the chain of command works. Trump had and has NO responsibility to share ANYTHING with the VP or anyone else unless and until he decides to.
.
"The man with the best job in the country is the vice-president. All he has to do is get up every morning and say, "How is the president?"
Will Rogers

John Nance Garner, FDR's first vice president, said the VP position wasn't worth "a warm bucket of spit.".
.
Just how Trump utilizes Pence remains to be seen. Hopefully for more than attending state funerals.
