It's amazing how quiet the left has become on this issue. Talk about "missing the boat" and being dead wrong! Wow! They really screwed this one up. Sort of like the Great Society, except that one has managed to destroy the lives of millions and millions.

From a "flat earther" ...

It was first called “global warming”. Then when things started cooling, it became “climate change”. It turns out to be “weather”.

The socialist, progressive, Democrats (whatever you want to call them) have been pushing this since the ‘70s. It’s all that’s been taught in most schools and universities since. The fact that so many still don’t buy it is heartening.

But many do and progressive leaders use this. President Obama has called more than half the country “science deniers” and “flat earthers”. Name calling seems to be his best strategy to promote his agenda. Science is a quest for knowledge; a search for the truth. Rarely does an initial theory prove to be correct in the long run. But an unproven theory is what the climate change movement is based on.

To say that climate changes are “man-made” is to ignore all the other major influences in nature. To be willing to kill millions of jobs and make everything so costly that more and more people simply can’t afford them in the name of protecting the earth and all the animals that live here, is based premise that man is not, or should not be a part of it. Does man have an effect on the climate? Of course. But measuring it is much harder than measuring the effect of termites or cattle farts.

They want to tie our hands to save the environment (and in the process destroy our economy) knowing that they can’t do anything about the growing pollution from China, India … that hovers in the air above us. They want to stop U.S. oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, even though China and Russia are.

For the leaders of the movement, climate change is not about protecting the environment. This is being pushed for the same reason they are pushing gun control, Obamacare, stripping our liberties and rights in the name of national security, killing our free market system with bailouts and bond buying, … Why?

It’s all about control. The progressive leaders’ promises are:

We’ll protect the environment for you, but we must tell manufacturers what they can make and how they must make it, thereby telling you what you can and cannot buy and what it will cost. We must tell you what you can do or build on your property.

We will provide you with health care and be sure there is a doctor available, but we must make sure you stay healthy, therefore (and make no mistake, this is coming) we will control what you eat and do. If you smoke, are fat, are old, consume alcoholic beverages, McDonalds or too much salt, we will not cover you. Sorry that there is nowhere else to turn. Hope you have a lot of cash. If you’re a doctor, we will tell you where you can set up practice and who you can treat.

We will protect you from your neighbor, but to do this, we must take your guns, read your mail, record your phone calls and frisk you every time you board a plane or go to a sporting event and occasionally bust your front door down.

We will keep your prices down and make sure you have a job, but we must control your currency and devalue the dollar in your pocket. We cannot trust the free market. If all the sudden you can’t afford to put gas in your car … sorry. At least the CEO’s of the firms we bailed out can.

So who is the flat earther? Let’s not “be crazy”.

You hit the nail on the head with every one of your comments. The lefties have been pushing the global warming thing to send money to their supports pet projects. (Solendra) Obama and his friends have nearly killed the coal industry in this country.
They have closed dozens of coal fired generating plants raising the cost of electricity for cash strapped Americans. America has the largest supply of coal in the world and instead of using it to get us off oil, Obama and his EPA have done everything in their power to shut the whole industry down.
Al Gore has made a fortune pushing the global warming issue and any data not supporting it has been hidden. While he's out making millions telling everyone they need to do this and that he used many times the utilities the average family uses. Can you say hypocrite.

I would comment but

According to many of these nut cases Augusta is under water from the polar ice cap melt, or the Earth has frozen solid, or the green house gases have raised the temp on the surface to a boiling point and we are all death.

Yet giving all these FALSE predicts WE still have a CARBON TAX Exchange being implemented in Chicago and one of the biggest investors is

who will become a $$$$$ Billionaire $$$$$ if it is fully implemented.

A couple of Anne Coulter's

A couple of Anne Coulter's comments on Big Al Gore:

The only place Al Gore conserves energy these days is on the treadmill. I don't want to suggest that Al's getting big, but the last time I saw him on TV I thought, "That reminds me—we have to do something about saving the polar bears."

Never mind his carbon footprint—have you seen the size of Al Gore's regular footprint lately? It's almost as deep as Janet Reno's.
