HONEY BOO BOO
Unpublished

This show recently aired to record viewers. It would appear that Putin has it right. America isn't exceptional anymore especially when it comes to what we watch on TV. What pleasure does TV viewers get out of watching people put their train wreck of a life out there? What does it say for the viewers mentality? Rick's cartoon is what's wrong with America in a nutshell!

Putin, like obama and the vast majority of Americans, have no

concept of what is meant by "American Exceptionalism". It does not mean we are better than any other country (although I believe we are). It means we were the first country founded based on the rule of laws and not the rule of man and that our rights come from our Creator and not from a monarch. Before we came along the predominant theory was that the power of the King came from God and then the King passed rights down to the people as he saw fit.

America was founded with the concept of the power came from God to the people and the people bestowed limited power onto the elected leaders. As a result, our rights DO NOT come from government. They come from God in the Founders concept and sadly the left wants government to give rights to the people.

FDR wanted a new bill of rights and obama is bouncing around that idea also. When we accept the idea that our rights come from government we find ourselves back in slavery and dependence on the government with the "elite" ruling our lives. When that happens...the concept of "American Exceptionalism" will have died.

Putin may not be right, yet....

But to prevent his words from becoming prologue, we Americans have an obligation to place into office leaders who share our values.

We failed to do that in 2008 and we failed again in 2012. Admittedly, in 2008 we were screwed either way.

Obama mouths the words, (talks the talk) when he believes it to be to his advantage. However, he does not have the will, talent or ability to follow through (walk the walk).

Obama is much more like Putin than we'd like to believe.

Arrogant, narcissistic and self-serving.

For five years now, he's given us an abject lesson in to how consolidate power by coddling and encouraging the weak and lazy with promises, slogans and handouts.

Yet his only true goal seems to be to give us an East European style socialist existence.

With regard to American gullibility, Khrushchev said something to the effect that Americans would slip into socialism without even realizing it.

Looks like old Nikita might just have known what he was talking about.

Contrary

In the back of my mind I keep thinking that Obama delivered a speech early in his presidency in which he himself said that America was no different than any other country. He said each country considered itself exceptional. But I spent ten or twelve minutes on Google trying to find reference to it and could not find anything. Does anyone remember such a speech?

Lamb - Yes,

I do...

Don't have time right now to dig, but I think at least one instance was at a NATO summit in 2009.

I think he took a backhanded slap at America by suggesting that we were as exceptional as Greece.

I might be wrong on that so don't quote me. LOL

Gotta go.. later...

I see our resident thumb troll doesn't like the

idea of folks documenting OzBama operating in his disrespect America mode.

Here it is ...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4o_YW4Oaehg

Along the same lines of a phrase I heard in college many years ago -
"Be unique, just like everybody else."

In typical Obama fashion, it's easier to find clips after where he completely contracts himself.

Which Means What?

No one is exceptional.

Just like Lake Woebegon. The women are strong. The men are good looking. Every child is above average.

King of Nothing

I cannot remember the artist, but there was a great pop song in the early seventies titled, I Am The King Of Nothing. That sums up Obama. Those of you who understand how to search YouTube might be able to link to it.
