The ones who...

care about liberty and the future of Britain do. Just as here in the US, the only ones who don't are the "progressives / socialists".

Great job Rick!

What an inappropriate

What an inappropriate lead-off comment. The late Ms Thatcher is and was a great leader and a great Briton. Anyone who would deny her that is certainly in denial themselves. She's one of those rare "patriots" who fought hard for the freedoms Brits enjoy. And freedom means economic as well as physical freedoms.

@Dareese

Did you look at the pictures of who was celebrating her death? What a load of losers and takers. And Gallagher? Ye gods, what a moron he is.

She kept Great Britain from turning into a 3rd rate economic backwater, not that they were up to carrying on her work after she departed from politics. Now they are a nanny state struggling even to maintain their own cultural identity. She was the best thing that happened on those islands in the last half of the 20th century, even considering the Beatles, etc.

It is astonishing how crass and relentlessly obtuse people can be, on both sides of the Atlantic, and it almost always appears to arise from selfishness and a cement-like "me first" attitude. They are unworthy to share in Margaret Thatcher's legacy, IMO.

Triumvirate

The three most important persons of the last half of the twentieth century — Ronald Reagan, Pope John Paul II, Margaret Thatcher.

No one has stepped up to that level since.
