.... what's left of the Romney's campaign.
He’s an outstanding campaigner and that’s pretty much all he’s ever done; including for most of his first term. But there’s nothing left to campaign for and it’s too cold for golf!
At least he’s got “more flexibility” now.
This is a good cartoon.
Do you somehow believe it is an act of loyalty to applaud the goals of a president and Senate hell-bent on destroying our nation? Not just it's wealth but the liberties guaranteed to its citizens?
Loyal opposition indicates people who are loyal to the nation and its operation according to the Constitution and rule of law, while opposing and attempting to limit the damage from the people at the helm. Know your terms before you try to snark with them.
Do all your transactions in cash and always remember that the federal government, even more than the state of Georgia, is trying to take away everything you have to redistribute to the people who contribute nothing and to people who shouldn't even be here in the first place.
Old Nikita K. was quite prescient about what would happen to us, even if his warning came 50 years too early for us to believe it.
Americans are dumb. Case proven in this election. They get what they deserve: four more years of misery. Makes me want to puke.
Post Script on the Election
Yesterday I was too depressed and angry to do anything but withdraw and fume. Everywhere on the Tube the message was, “The people have spoken…”. There were scenes of confetti flying from the rafters, flags waving in the auspicious arenas of victory anda mean-eyed Obama glaring at the crowd externally calling for unification and bipartisanshipm while inwardly plotting revenge on all who had opposed him. So I asked myself what has happened? Have the people really spoken? Is this all the cognitive discernment the Electorate can muster? I beheld images of a beaten Romney impaled on the twin swords of Class Warfare and aloof isolation, resigned as a footnote of history, fading as a vapor into the oblivion of the vanquished, perhaps never to materialize again. The sages had been right and the sages had been wrong, a cruel ambivalent hoax what we had thought was within reach eluded our grasp. The dream had died, probably never to be resurrected, at least in my generation.
I racked my brain for answers. How could so many people be so wrong, so easily deceived. My first inclination was to reason that this was no longer a white Christian nation. Now we served other gods, other tongues, other mores, a different conscience. Obama had pronounced this four years earlier. He had been right, but he had reiterated a terrible and eerily tragic wrong, like Israel following the death of Joshua. A generation had passed and now there were people ‘who knew neither the Lord, no what He had done for Israel and each followed his own way’. It seemed a sacrilege that an American President would trade on this, but it was true, The New Normal. What would come of a people so willing to sacrifice their God granted franchise on the altars of envy and revenge for injustices long redeemed by equal injustice. The moving finger had written. How History mocks those who refuse to learn its lessons. The acrid scent of oppression is in the air.
Perhaps there had occurred a concatenation of circumstances, financial wounds healing on their own despite the misguided attempts at diversion, tales of incompetence and
dishonorable deceit abroad, a storm that had distracted rightful indignation, a failure to fully understand and keep abreast of the efforts and progress of one’s adversaries. These were legion and to complex for humans to fathom, even in a nauseatingly technological entourage, backed by obscene financial expenditures. Perhaps it had had just been bad karma, God’s will, the roll of the dice, the cookie crumbling the wrong way , eenie meanie, miney, mo. Whatever it was, it was heartbreaking, an ill omen of bad days ahead for the Republic. If all it takes is for good men to do nothing, what happens when good men do everything they can and it still comes out wrong?
They just don't know what they have asked for and gotten.
Premiums than our parents and grandparents and we will be denyed the care they have gotten because the money is drying up.
A bunch of Obama supporters will be right there with us (that's a good thing unless there is a double standard, reward the non - payers over the long term payers).
That computer system they are getting up and going may well be their entrance into that objective.
Georgia, ranked 27th in education. I love being called out by honey boo boo-watchers. Redneck-o-nized!
