Pull out

I love what Congressman West from Florida said about being tough and pulling out of these countries, not to mention never apologize!

Kick that box!

kcfan and PhiloPubliius are both absolutely correct. Kick that box out from under that guy and stop everything that benefits them.

The funny thing is ...

This cartoon would also have been topical 5 years ago ... 10 years ago ... 15 years ago ... 20 years ago. Not being a student of history Mr. McKee continues show a lack of originality or imagination. (in all fariness that's not what he's paid to do). Here's a suggestion: since Mr. Romney has identified our greatest threat as Russia, why not depict a squadron of TU-95's ready to drop their bombs on the good old U.S of A. Damn those commies!!

Obviously

You're not a student of current events or you'd know how topical this is. As for Russia, how about instead of TU-95's, I draw this fleet of Russian warships as displayed during the Democratic National Convention's tribute to our veterans: http://www.navytimes.com/mobile/news/2012/09/navy-russian-warships-displ...
Oops! Maybe this is what Obama meant when he promised the Russians he'll be more flexible!

Mr. McKee. my sincere apologies ...

Not sure if you're a product of the Georgia education system or not, in which case I fully understand your response. The point I was trying to make was that your cartoon could have easlily have been representative of the bombing of the emabassy in Greece in the 70's, the takeover of the embassy in Iran in the late 70's, the 1983 takeover of the embassy in Beirut, the 1998 bombings in Da'r As Salaam, Tanzania, and Nairobi. The fact that you decided to lay this at the foot of the current administration makes you, well quite frankly, unimaginative. Frogive me if I'm worng Mr. McKee, but I missed those earlier cartoons. Please continue with the anti-President drawings you're paid to depict. I find them very funny sometimes.

Please

Point to me in this cartoon where I laid this at the foot of the current administration.

And yes, maybe I should "frogive" you for being "worng" because you are.

You’re absolutely right Mr. McKee ...

In no way was this cartoon meant to be critical of an administration that provides economic aid to a country that has exhibited anti-American sentiments (as has been done by every administration since 1926.) Are you honestly saying that your intent was not to bring to light the fact that this administration provides military and economic aid to a country with a segment of the population that holds anti-American sentiment? … you’re about 20 years too late pal. For some reason, in your world, the Middle East did not exist before 1990. Again, maybe I missed all those cartoons of Arab condemnation that preceeded this one... 'frogive me for being worng'

Yes, you are worng

You're reading more into it than is there. Lighten up.
In my world, the Middle East did not exist before 1998, which is when I began cartooning. If I could have drawn cartoons in the 70s and 80s I would have, but I was busy going to elementary, middle and high school. I'm sure there are plenty in the archives after '98 for you to dig for, though. Knock yourself out.

My apologies Rick,

... didn't realize that pre-1998 Middle East history did not exist in the schools you attended. God knows I had a hard enough enough time absorbing all of that history with my Catholic Grammar and High School education. Boring to say the least. Unfortunately that doesn't absolve you of the fact that you're a tool. A puppet of the Republcan machine. Dedicated to the principle that what you think is, as long as it holds the conservative viewpoint is governed by the greater good of the party. Draw a cartoon critical of Mitt Romny, I dare you. I double-dog dare you.

Sigh...

You asked why I hadn't drawn anything from those earlier eras. I wasn't drawing then.

But apparently your memory doesn't extend beyond a month or so or you'd know I had drawn this about Romney:
