Wow. I can't believe you went there.

Mr. McKee,

Imagine for a second that you're a sick freak (and I'm sure you're not, but this is just a hypothetical). You rape your 13 year-old daughter and impregnate her (still strictly hypothetical). She comes to you and says, 'Daddy, please, this is wrong, I don't want to have this baby.' Are you seriously telling your readers that you endorse the Republican platform adopted recently at the GOP convention that bans all abortion under any circumstance (including rape and incest) and that your response to your child would be ‘sorry sweetie, I am a Republican, and you must carry that child to term.’ Say it ain't so.

Your hypothetical situation

Your hypothetical situation would have been better had you not have the father be the one who committed the rape of his daughter.

Perfect!

I don't agree with banning abortion in "every" case (IE: rape or the health of the mother), but the Republican stance is not nearly as radical as our president's stance of partial birth abortions! To allow this is not just extreme ... it's sick!

carcraft once again misses the point (no surprise there)

Extremism by either side does nothing other than promote the cause of those who feel they are in the right without compromise. If Mr. McKee were employed by the Democratic party instead of the Republican party, he could easily have crafted a cartoon with a father holding a child in his arms looking down on his deceased wife, languishing in a pool of her own blood due to massive hemorrhaging, while a group of Republican male politicians stood behind him patting each other on the backs with shouts of 'job well done.'

Ask the aborted child if they are better off being dead, than having a mother that has been traumatized.

Abortion does not help women -

What's really unacceptable is how Planned Parenthood does nothing to report these cases of rape and incest. Instead they hush-hush take the girls in and inflict the trauma of abortion on an already traumatized victim, rush them to the table, perform the abortion and shove the girls out the door. Counseling? Reporting? None in sight. Instead Planned Parenthood give these men a free pass. All PP cares about is making money. They care nothing about these young girls. If you really want to know how women feel about abortion you should check out this sight: www.silentnomoreawareness.org/testimonies/ - All women here, regardless of how they got pregnant, they ALL regret their abortion. It's time to stop this insanity and the plight and harm that Planned Parenthood really inflicts on women and society at large. They brain wash young women into the "same sex" agenda, and since they know that contraception is not 100% effective, then they know that these women and young girls will end up at the abortion clinic for the ultimate form or birth control: abortion. It's all a money making bussiness. It's all about increasing abortions, as any ex-abortion worker will confirm. The truth is out there, it just needs to be told. It's time for women to stand up to Planned Parenthood and expose the lies. Women deserve better.

Nice.....a thumbs down for simply stating the fact that Mr McKee is NOT employed by the Republican party. I guess facts are offensive to some.

The Rape Issue

In your hypothetical rape / incest example, Fedex, by what system of morality does the innocent bystander, a defenseless baby, get the death penalty? What did he or she do wrong?!? And, why is killing the weak, the speechless, the defenseless, and the youngest in our world a "good" thing? (Was it a "good" thing when Stalin and Hitler did it?) Seems to me that Rick has captured the extremism of the Left quite well, although, for better accuracy, he could have a few baby arms, legs, and heads spilling out of the trash can in which Obama, and the worldview of the Left, resides.
