Ambulance service superb

Our senior population is growing. About 30 million seniors ages 65 and older live in our country. In about 15 years the baby boomers will have changed that number to 75 million! Our country has much work to be ready for these seniors.

One local company is ready now. Gold Cross ambulance service proves time and again that they can serve our seniors very efficiently and with a gentle, helping hand.

St. John Towers has 251 residents with an average age of 86 years. During a recent elevator outage, which lasted about eight hours, we had a number of challenges to make our residents as comfortable and safe as possible. I called Gold Cross just to let them know we might have special needs in case of an emergency.

Before I knew it, six Gold Cross ambulances, two non-emergency vans and a supervisor came to St. John Towers and offered to help. Several of our residents required access to medicines. Others needed simply to rest after a long day. Gold Cross, with all the necessary equipment and staff with a heart for service, went to work. They made some 70 residents much more comfortable and feel much safer.

Our community should be proud to have Gold Cross serving our area. Emergency personnel, medical pros and those who need them appreciate Gold Cross. We at St. John Towers are very thankful for them.
