After watching President Obama’s State of the Union speech and the recent Republican debates, there is something to be said about those running for the highest office in the land.
First of all, they should have integrity, honesty and the sophistication to lead this country.
We don’t need another pathological liar who says he wants to unite the country, then divides us.
We don’t need a president who threatens to draw red lines in the sand against tyrants and terrorists and does nothing.
We don’t need another president who will go golfing or to a fund-raiser the next day after a tragedy.
We don’t need a president who will make up our minds for us, leaving the government to dictate what is good or bad for us.
We don’t need a president who will get involved only with people of color.
We also don’t need a president who will jump to conclusions about our protectors in law enforcement who have been accused of criminal acts before all the evidence is in.
We don’t need another self-absorbed narcissist running for office who lies at the drop of a hat, and who would trivialize the death of an ambassador.
We don’t need a president who will strip us of our rights under the Second Amendment to protect ourselves.
We don’t need a person who can’t follow simple rules to keep security matters safe.
What we do need as president is a person who adheres to our Constitution, upholds the laws of our country and works in the best interest of our people.
