In Jason Stanford’s July 6 column “Mainstreaming radicalism morphing further into GOP doctrine,” I must answer his “radicalism” claim.
“Reading from the same script as those who would take up arms against our country because you lost the White House doesn’t make you a patriot,” he wrote. “In fact it makes you a traitor.” Really? So George Washington and those who fought against a tyrannical government were traitors? We who call ourselves Tea Partiers, constitutionalists and conservatives are not taking up arms because we lost the White House. It is because of what those who are in control are doing. This is not Democrat vs. Republican. Conservatives oppose U.S. House leadership allowing the president to, in essence, make himself emperor.
Let’s go over a few facts.
The Obama administration has used the Internal Revenue Service to target conservative organizations, donors and citizens. The Obama Justice Department ordered criminal investigations of Fox News reporters for doing their jobs during the 2012 election.
Obama issued, in one day, 21 separate executive orders that attack and undermine our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. Especially egregious are Obama’s executive orders amending Obamacare to allow doctors and hospitals to investigate which patients own guns simply because they sought medical care.
Lies he has told, treasonous offenses he has committed and his violations of our beloved Constitution cannot be compared to any politician in American history: “The most transparent administration.” The promise to televise the health-care debate on C-SPAN for five days before a vote (what debate?). Fast and Furious. Benghazi. Suspected Army deserter Bowe Berghdal. “If you like your health plan, if you like your doctor, you can keep them, period.” Single-handedly altering laws, including Obamacare. His “stimulus” scam. Solyndra. The list is never-ending.
Incidentally, then-Sen. Obama said, “I was a constitutional law professor, which means unlike the current president I actually respect the Constitution.” I could go on and on but I am limited on space.
Although we appreciate Democratic operatives giving strategic advice to freedom-loving Americans, if being against this tyrannical government is traitorous – guilty!
