Jury visit enlightening

I attended the Augusta Judicial Circuit’s jury selection process one recent morning at the new courthouse facility at 735 James Brown Blvd.

I must say I was quite impressed with the honorable Judge James G. Blanchard Jr.’s handling of the process, including some great history lessons that were very informative, without slowing the judicial process at all.

In addition, though I’m not a veteran, I was very impressed with the judge’s acknowledgements of all service participants, down to the last person in the jury pool.

I didn’t get picked as a juror, but I got a much-needed God-bless-America boost during this civic duty exercise.
