Blame Obama, Reid, Boehner

President Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Majority Leader John Boehner are equally responsible for the shutdown of the government. Those three, using politics instead of statesmanship, caused the shutdown of the government and innocent citizens are suffering as a result. Look at the facts.

Obamacare was passed without due diligence, led by a Democratic majority in the Senate. Public opinion at that time was about 50 percent for or against. However, the majority of the public felt that due diligence had not been properly exercised. The U.S. Supreme Court failed to table their review until due diligence had been completed. The Supreme Court has become too political.

To use Obamacare as an argument in closing or not closing the government was wrong. The shutdown should not have happened.

Obama carries more responsibility than either Reid or Boehner for this situation. Once he takes the oath of office, he is constitutionally required to represent all citizens regardless of their party affiliations. Throughout his tenure in office, Obama has failed several times to live up to this responsibility. When he publicly refused to lead a negotiation with both parties to resolve this situation, he again failed the citizens of this great nation. It is time for Obama to resign and go home. He can take Messrs. Reid and Boehner with him.

The last (but by no means the least) contributor to this mess is the 24-hour news media. Through their liberal bias, they have influenced many people in the wrong direction. I urge all citizens to turn off the 24-hour news media and read their local newspapers.
