Honor woman's heroism

I want to add my admiration to Antoinette Tuff’s heroic action to stop a horrific incident from happening at Decatur’s Learning Academy when she talked eye-to-eye with a deranged gunman, convincing him to surrender. Listen online to the 911 call – it is amazing what love and compassion can do. Without question she saved many children and adult lives.

Augusta has a hero named Jimmy Dyess who was awarded the Carnegie Medal for saving two women from drowning. I hope the Carnegie Hero Fund awards the Carnegie Medal to this young and brave American woman. She deserves it.
