Government prying more

Each day brings new revelations about the invasiveness of our government into our private lives. Polls tell the story that our citizens not only mistrust our current government, but by a large majority, now fear that government – and rightly so!

These egregious things that have been foisted upon us did not start with the ill-conceived law called Obamacare, but it is a good example of the arrogance these people in government possess. Practically no one wanted it, but it was crammed down our collective throats anyway by Democrats acting on behalf of the Obama regime.

There are more recent revelations of misbehavior – namely discrimination, harassment and intimidation against some of our citizens simply for their political beliefs, as well as lying to Congress and the American people! Members of the administration use secret email accounts to avoid their behavior being found out by the FBI or Congress. Most egregious is that American citizens have been spied upon by having their telephone conversations unknowingly monitored, and their Internet communications invaded without their knowledge or permission. The government has seized telephone records of journalists and tapped their telephone conversations.

These are but a few of the instances in which our Constitution and our personal freedoms have been ignored and trodden upon by the Obama administration!

There is, in Congress, a small body of men and women standing up and trying to stop these intrusions. Without their respect for the law and the Constitution, we would soon pass from citizen to subject. Having been born into a free society in a great and free country, I feel compelled to protest those who would change it – especially those who do so in a surreptitious manner against the will of the people, the Constitution and the law!
