Stop raising our taxes

I wonder if I am the only citizen who thinks Augusta’s city government is a joke. They are split down the middle, and can’t make any decisions except to take retreats at taxpayers’ expense. For my tax money, they can meet in a commissioner’s office, turn their cell phones off and limit their bills for gas in their autos. I wonder if they considered this.

I don’t think the taxpayer should support or promote retreats. I think commissioners have their vacations already built into their packages. They should take a look at themselves before even letting one thought of raising taxes, property or otherwise, on the taxpayers already taxed beyond their means.

The spending on a local level, state level and federal level has got to stop somewhere. I think it’s running over now.
