Will all mergers be same?

Having read Georgia Health Sciences University President Ricardo Azziz’s Aug. 13 blog entry, and noticing he mentioned having spent only about $300,000 on the Medical College of Georgia/GHSU name change:

Will the Board of Regents continue making mergers all around Georgia? If so, will each newly merged institution bear the name “Georgia Regents University”? If not, why not? If so, how will each new institution be distinguishable from the others bearing the same name?

If we must be saddled with this ridiculous name – and really, must we? – perhaps Augusta should be added. Preferably, change the name completely.
