The students and teachers of Augusta State University and Georgia Health Sciences University should get together and inform the Board of Regents that there will be a boycott by all the students and teachers Aug. 20 (or Aug. 27) unless the name “Georgia Regents University” is changed to a name that includes the word “Augusta.”
If not changed, every student and teacher will make signs and march around both schools, and not attend classes for whatever time is necessary to register their disagreement with the namers.
These two groups have the power to do this if they have the will and fortitude to carry out this boycott.
The will of the people must be followed – not the politics of 17 politicians.
