The Obama media sure know how to distort a print headline or broadcast lead-in to a news story. They will state something in a way that is not untruthful, but, at the same time gives you the opposite impression of what really happened. Here are are a couple of examples.
A recent Associated Press headline read, “Jobless claims drop.” A person just perusing the headlines would think, “Finally, some good news on the jobs front!” When you actually read the article, you find out that jobless claims fell from 367,000 to 366,000. The headline is truthful (jobless claims did drop), but come on!
A network news broadcast leads with the Republican-controlled House of Representatives overwhelmingly rejecting the budget submitted by President Obama. The casual listener might get the impression that President Obama cannot get anything done because of the House Republicans. Again, the lead-in was truthful (the Republicans do control the House). But nowhere in the story is it mentioned that Obama’s budget was rejected by every Republican, Democrat and independent. The vote was 419-0.
It is a shame that the entity that used to be considered the watchdog for the people, has been reduced to just running cover for those who wish to deceive us.
