Make cell calls carefully

My husband is in the intensive care unit at University Hospital, very critically ill. I would like to address anyone who sits in an ICU waiting room taking cell phone calls right from their chair, only to discuss their loved ones’ illnesses in gory detail.

Please, if your cell phone rings, by all means answer it, but from the hallway where everyone else does not have to listen. One recent afternoon, I had to leave the waiting room to avoid listening to everyone else’s troubles, while my own husband is fighting for his life.

If only one person sees himself in this letter and changes his location for calls, it may help someone else.
