Past eugenics is shameful

The United States was the first nation in the world to take an official stand on eugenics with forced sterilization. While forced sterilization was started in the United States before 1900, the Supreme Court gave its approval in 1927.

Eugenics was science, and forced sterilization was implemented by the government. Be careful on how much faith you put in science and how much authority you are willing to grant the government.

It is unfortunate how little the U.S. citizenry is being informed of this shame on our country, particularly in light of recent exposure to former forced sterilization victims in North Carolina.
