Writer fails to grasp scope of crisis

Lowell Greenbaum, as chairman of his Democratic organization in Augusta, has attacked the Tea Party. Like the president he helped elect, he must blame somebody for what is wrong.

The Tea Party, unlike most Democrats and some Republicans, supports the Constitution. I doubt Greenbaum has ever read it since his party is continually trying to violate the laws set forth in it. When you are paying more than 40 percent of your income in interest payments, you start saying “No, no, no!” No more borrowing. If Greenbaum operated his home like the president tries to do with this country, he would be living under a bridge somewhere.

The Tea Party was named after the Boston Tea Party that caused the uprising leading to this great country we have – called the Revolutionary War. I’m sure Greenbaum would have been a Tory if he lived at that time.

Greenbaum should stop his letters. They make the paper smell bad.
