Of the outrage over the Taliban prisoner swap, Barack Obama intones, dismissively: “I’m never surprised by controversies that are whipped up in Washington.”
We’ve seen some cynical politicians in our time, but we can’t imagine another cynic of his caliber.
The gall of the man, to condescendingly pretend the honest reaction to this astounding affront to American security and sensibilities is either political or a purely Washington creation.
Rest assured, the horror over his inane, inexplicable and possibly illegal act is completely organic, stretching from sea to shining sea and “whipping up” people of every conceivable political stripe.
How dare he.
