Lee Thurmond Key (NORTH AUGUSTA, S. C.)

NORTH AUGUSTA, S. C. - Mrs. Lee Thurmond Beard Key, 97, of Celeste Avenue, entered into rest November 4, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Old Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Limuer Myers officiating. Interment will be in Mealing Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Key, a native of Columbia County was a member of Old Macedonia Baptist Church. Survivors include, five daughters, Willie Eva Miller, Inkster, MI; Almary (Thomas) Vaughn, Burlington, NC; Vivian Thompson, Philadelphia, PA; Lee (Thomas) Ramsey and Deloris Key, North Augusta, SC; a son, Ret. Col. Douglas Key, Burlington, NC; a devoted grandson, Mark Stevens, North Augusta, S. C.; 20 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
